OK, I gotta ask: has DD's relationship with Platinum taken a turn for the worse? From a non-admin point of view it's hard for me to tell much of anything in that regard unless I'm actively digging around for that sort of thing. So it seems like that remark sort of came out of nowhere, the operative word here is "seems."
I prefer to think the best of people and skoolmunkee seems really nice which is why it seemed like kind of a weird thing to see in the news post.
Again, I want to make it clear that I mean no offense to either party. My curiousity got the better of me I guess.

Everything PS seems to do to DD turns this place from bad to worse. The ONLY reason I'm still here is because the people here are awesome and the admins help out a LOT more then other admins do at other sites. Otherwise the s*** that PS does is intolerable. I say we strike! STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE! *dragged away by two big guys* T_T

I was a little worried about today's post. Certainly today's and the post before are related (skool has lamented that she can't access her PQs for some time...). But a direct, pasive-aggresive outburst like that not only signals that there might be more going on with DD and Platinum than we think (OPs first post echos my concerns that some digging needs to be done to see if what we know even scratches the surface) but that DD might need to rely on another host in the future.

Not that I don't agree with her that Platinum seems to ruin everything it touches, and not just DD. Look at Wowio. And the NNFB (No Need for Bushido) creators feel sour that this years Comic Book Challenge (hosted by Platinum) was rigged.

I'm gonna lock this just because there's another thread about this which has more replies (I should move it to this forum... hm). Masq, you're exactly right that it was a passive-aggressive outburst. (Unfortunately it isn't a case of relying on a host- Platinum owns Drunk Duck and unless they sell it, we are stuck.)
