I'm pretty sure this discussion has come up countless times, but as I am trying to establish myself as a forum posting kinda guy, and because my wife has a poor taste in music so I can't discuss it with her, what kind of music do you drunks listen to while working on comics?
I mostly switch around between Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Radiohead and MC Chris. Any good recommendations?
I don't really have anything I know if I'd recommend, but I listen to lots of The Flaming Lips, David Bowie and the Beatles when I am working on my comics.
I'll hafta check out the podcast, never really got into those but it never hurts.
But I got the Beatles going now, Sergeant Pepper on repeat makes for some weird writing.
I gave up on the radio. Too many commercials
I won an ipod in a raffle at work a couple months ago. Since then I've been listening mostly to all these different podcasts. Man, I love podcasts; its' like free music city.
I just downloaded a ton of podcasts called Via the A-hole, which is all punk music from like all over the place. If I'm just coloring, or doing something mindless, I usually listen to Philosophy lectures or old episodes of The Shadow.
I actually like the idea of listening to old radioshows. Ever since they cancelled Kidd Chris (an old show here in Philly) I've been forced to listen to Preston and Steve. Oi.
I download most of my music off of the internet, or buy the album and rip the songs onto my computer, due to lack of an iPod. I mostly listen to KoRn and Metallica. There are some individual songs from other bands, like "The Noose" by A Perfect Circle, "Fell on Black Days" by Soundgarden and "Cells" by the Servant.
DO YOU SEE WHERE I'M COMIN' FROM, YOU JIVE MOTHAFUCKAAAA-AAAAAAAAA!?
