I posted a reply, clicked on the "read your post here link and I was logged out and a message at the top of the screen said:
Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /var/www/html/drunkduck.com/includes/packages/database_package/global_db_func.inc.php on line 110
This is the second time this has happened...

Timmy And the Bleach
There are many things in this world that are uncertain
I'd say I'm one of them
But I'm not sure
The sql is processing too much information, causing tables to crash. With less information flowing through the problem would either vanish or at the very least reduce in outage time.
This is simply a guess, I am not very well versed in sql information, but it would make sense that it is processing too much. The solution would be to clear data by removing old threads, forum posts, inactive users and ditch accounts, or even comics (which should be avoided).
In other words: Forum needs a pruning mechanic, as well as users. This would free up much of the wrokload and site size. Until the day that happens, follow Ozone's advice. Tough it out, it's only temporary.
Ok,
It just happened again, only this time when I tried to sign in, it just wouldn't sign me in and a similar message came up at the top of the screen.
This happened about four or five times in a row.
EDIT: I'm on Firefox BTW

"ozoneocean" Said: Yes that happens Lefarce.
but the daily thing isn't related to that and should happen in about 2 hours from now.

What is happening on line 110 is that a variable is not getting information.
Either too much info is passed at one time causing it to fail, it's not getting a single bit of information, or it's being modified and as such a bug is left over due to a coding error. Since it's happening once a day it seems to be storing and backing up table information, which means it's either something Volte coded wrong, or it's too much information causing the table to crash. In other words: no. No. Bad Ozone.
You're just being pedantic...
That trouble is not related to the other, obviously. There is just a similarity in symptoms. -_-
Stop trying to be a smart-arse about this stuff man, it's getting on our tits. I know you'd like to be helpful here, but all these issues are stuff we're well aware of and until the people who are doing the bug fixing are able to get around to it, the best thing WE can do is help people COPE with things in a workable way and understand how to handle them when they ask us
