I was searching through the comics and I think I'm right in saying that the current method just uses what's written in the description, right? Using tab words would make it much easier to find what your looking for. I've seen it used on quite a few other sites and can't think any reason why it would work here too.

You mean like adding key words to your comic? That's a cool idea!

Actually there is a tag system for the comics, but no one seems to use it... look under any comic page, in part of the grey bar there is a thing you can click on that says 'tag comic' You can add stuff there... although anyone can do that whether they are the comic owner or not... and I'm not sure whether those tags are searchable, or feed into the search system...

(You can see maybe why no one uses it)

Heh, never even noticed that before. I tried it out to see if it works in the search engine but doesn't seem to. Would be great to see that happen one day though.
