I would like to suggest a revamped stat-o-meter. I dont know if anyone else has this problem or maybe im just and idiot but i find that thing INCREDIBLY difficult to read. Also it would be nice if comics without a home-page had one like under the stats section of their user controls.

it would also be great while looking at the stats for your comic, especially for page views if you could sort by like daily hits, weekly hits and monthly hits

agreed, I can just barely comprehend what the stat-o-meter shows me at times but I don't think it's too bad though.

I don't think it is too much to ask for a favorites count without having to get the Duck notifier.

What I would like to see on this page would be something to indicate how many people visit, rather than how many of my pages were looked at. There's a big difference to those two, especially when you get a few new readers going through the archives.

And while on the same matter - it would be nice if the comic hits displayed a bit more.. accurate number. As of now, it seems like it only counts in every 10th hit for the comic. In which sense, if a comic had some 49 hits during a day, it'd show 40 hits, or something like that. Wouldn't mind a bit more accurate count

Back on the topic of the thread; I agree. The current Stat-o-meter is rather.. hard to decipher, in lack of a better way to phrase it. Though I can remember reading that a revamp or something of it is on the big To-do list.

I thought it rounded to the nearest ten. So does it only go up when ten or more views are made, or does it round to the nearest? And does a single pageview even register?

Yes, it'd be nice if there was a unique counter in there. Us Admins can see that,
But it's not that straight forward.

The normal counter is supposed to round to 10, not only update when you hit a 10.

Is a unique counter that complex? Or does it just eat up alot of server resources?

Yup, that's the one. The utility that pops up on the comic page and shows various details with gauges.

I doubt it... Although it does take ages and ages to load so maybe.

Well, having it on the stats page for a comic would be a nice compromise I should think.

Lothar, your succinctness is...refreshing, as always. But yeah, I would like a DD stat-o-meter (preferably less gauge-y and more graph-y), at least at the controls page of my comic, as I've never been fond of homepages.

They should at least add numbers to it so you can get an idea of how many favourites, etc you're getting.

What is this statometer and where can I find it? Though by all accounts my head might explode once I finally do see it...

A webcomic where a guy wants to quit his job selling video games and gets shot at for trying.

In my day, video games gave you three chances to kill about 2000 enemies in one sitting with no pause button. Easy mode meant you got two more lives to throw away on the first boss. You don't know the meaning of hard.

It's already on your page. It's between the bottom of your comic and the top of your author's comments. It's labeled "DD Stat-O-Meter"

It is flash based though so if you have flash blocked you may not be seeing it.

.... I thought that was an ad for faster internet service.

I have a idea! DD should also let you have a picture thats not 100 by 100.
I mean it is really hard trying to find a picture you like that size.
I wasn't able to. I had to go on paint and cut half of my chosen picture off.

MUAHAHA! Random person coming through!! ^_^
