I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but for the past two days, when I access DD from my work computer, I'm getting a virus alert.
It says it's detecting this virus:
JS/Exploit-PaCkEd
It's latching on to the internet tempt files, so it's pretty easy to get rid of, but it's happening every time I got to either of my comics, and it's only been the last two days.
Ahhh! Lefarce, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to come across as being annoyed or anything! It actually wasn't bothering me too much (like I said, it attached to the temp internet files anyway, delete and done!) I just felt someone should know.
I really only bopped back in to say it hasn't happened since I posted this. XD Watched pot and all that, I guess (which is weird, because I got it about 6 times prior to that...which was about when I decided I should mention it...) But I will keep an eye out and if it happens again, report that ad. (To be honest, I didn't even remember the ads until skoolmunkee mentioned it! I just sorta trained myself to ignore them and forgot they were there! oops!)
The site IS great! I've been saying that from the get-go. I love DD and wouldn't be anywhere else. This was just a "hey, this is happening, is it important?"
dragonsong12, I wasn't referring to you. My post got removed originally because I was "pessimistic" about ads being the possible cause of the problem. I made a point that nearly half the things that bug out on the site are cause by ads, which is exaggerating the truth, but still there is a lot that they affect.
Dont worry, you're concern is valid, and I wasn't upset at you. Think of it as the equivalent to someone just grunting to themselves. I'm not really annoyed with anyone.
HOwever, if it hasn't happened again, I would guess it was an ad that was removed, maybe a problem with your computer making it pop up, I dunno. Sounds pretty strange.
Interestingly your virus isn't common. In fact, searching for it yeilds DD as it's sixth or so result. It does, however, seem to be attached to flash files. It is/was probably an ad.
You know, I get this kind of stuff at work too. Over a secured network. I think it's just something we all live with. And everyone with a brain has an anti virus protection these days.
I know, lame excuse. But still...
"To a rational mind, nothing is inexplicable. Only unexplained."

It was removed because you said something I'd already made obvious in my post, and you were a jerk about it. So, 1: don't be redundant, 2: don't be a jerk
