Post on my Site Said: Turns out I felt compelled to create my own font for Cosmic Dash. You wonât see it on this page, but you probably will on the next. So far, version 1.0 is up and done, and here is a preview image. If youâd like to use the font, comment here or send me an e-mail (hpkomic@gmail.com) and Iâll send it to you. Help me make the font awesome.
Remember, if youâre gonna use this font, Iâd appreciate your feedback, suggestions and crits. Iâd especially appreciate it if you mentioned my site if you use them.
Anyway, I created this font for my own comics, however I want to see if it's something I should distribute for anyone, so I need some people to test it out and let me know what they think.
Details on the font:
All Caps.
Most symbols and characters are reperesented, let me know if I am missing anything.
No difference between a "lower-case" and "upper-case" letters (yet).
All hand-drawn.
So if you'd like to give it a whirl, please e-mail or comment on my site as it's the best way for me to keep track of who has it.
Cute! A little rough, but cool you made a font none the less.
If I saw It I'd probly say it looked a bit generic though.(i.e. nothing to special) Can you think of anything more unique to put to the shape? Just use the pen tool in photoshop.
Maybe look at other fonts and hash them together?
Great looking font. It wouldn't work with any of my books, but I really dig it.
Yeah, it's definitely specific for certain works. I'll probably make some others in the future.

Yeah, it's definitely rough because it was handwritten, I needed something like that. I'll definitely make a more "polished" fonr in the future maybe.
As for the genericness, not sure what I can do there. I thought my writing would make it unique enough. I'll be making some tweaks over-time. Probably a few special characters as well (like, specific to my comic universe, since this is a font for my comic). I don't really want to borrow from other fonts though.
Mister Kent Said: I'll give it a shot! Looks great, by the way
Great, if you could just comment on the original entry on my site, I'd be appreciative, it's a good way for me to keep track of everything.
Hmm, not bad. I'm looking for a new font, but I think this looks too handwritten for me. Sorry. I am impressed that you did it all yourself. Kudos to that!
You know what'd be cool? A DD users personal font database! No pay fonts, and maybe not any free generic ones either; just a place for the users here that were as ambitious as you and created their own fonts. Or maybe there aren't enough of them out there....
Awesome & kudos - I'm not sure how I'd feel about an all-caps font for Salt, but I'll skip over to your linked site and play around with it some. Thanks for the heads up =]
