Hi guys. I've come to the Drunk Duck community with a good learning experience and a fun group contest.

Who here remembers The 600? Anyone? It made it to Drunkduck's front page within a week. It was an experiment between Ryan Wilson and I to see if we could do 10 short, silly strips in a day for 30 days. Then between the two of us we'd have 600.

Well, we enjoyed it. We enjoyed it a lot. Sure, it was a lot of work, but you guys have no idea how good it feels to finish something like that.

So here we are again, Ryan and I, and we're looking to one-up ourselves with another go. And we'd like to involve one of you. One of you fine people.

What does this mean? Shall I cut to the chase? We're looking for one of you to participate with us for one month (probably during the summer) and upload 300 of your own comics to go with our 600. Yes, I am well aware of the fact that you can only have 2 comic assistant/owners on Drunk Duck, so we will definitely have to make a joint account.

The Benefit:
Why would you want to do this? Well, other than having a spiritually altering experience and learning a lot about yourself when it comes to your limits, we can almost guarantee a front-page "Top 10" status before the month is over. This means a lot of exposure for you and your comic projects, as well as more people getting to know you in general.

The Contest:
Basically we aren't sure who is up to this challenge. Who is speedy enough. Who is funny enough. Who is likable enough. We want to do this thing with people who fit into all those categories. If that sounds like you, or something you could do, here's what you gotta do to try out:

Make 10 (funny) strips in one day, then post them here for everyone to see. Post them all in one post, and keep 'em in order if they're a story. What can you do with them? Anything you want... other than inside jokes (no one likes those) (unless they're about TOOTHACHES!).

If you can do them all in one sitting, that's recommended.

Let me repeat myself for clarification. Draw 10 strips in one day, then post them here.

Entries will be judged on (in this order): comedy value, legibility, grace, and finally visual quality (the least needed to succeed).

The contest ends in thirty days, so you have some time to ponder and wonder if you're capable or not.

What You Need:
Some free time. We don't want people wasting their whole day away, which is why this contest is about endurance more than speed. If you can make 10 5-minute comics, then you've got your whole days worth done in under an hour. An hour a day.

What You Should Do:
Have fun and participate if you can/want to! (Reminder: Judging commences in a month, but if you like a certain person's strips, feel free to comment on them)

Wow, I didn't see the 600 project before, I must've missed that..but I'm gonna get through all 600 of them!

This is totally something I can do, as long as I just sketch each comic and not color like I always do. >.> (bad habit?) A lot of them would probably end up being autobiographical, but that's okay since I'm a crazy person.

Yeah. I'm not entirely sure why I am about to post. I don't really have anything important to say (I usually never do) but if you guys have any questions you can either post em here or PQ me or Allan. We both hope to get a lot of um, ah shit what's that word. Oh yeah, entires. We hope to get a lot of entries and are looking forward to judge your guy's comics. Now get drawing dammit.

I think in the summer my scanner will be up so it will be easier for me.

Um, for this little contest all you have to do is just draw 10 comic and post them up on here in the same post. We'll judge on whoever has the best comics. SO yeah. One person draws ten comics, and then post them on here all at once.

Hey I just thought of something. You can put all the trial entries at the beginning of the new 600 or 900 or whatever you're gonna call it. That way even if someone doesn't get into the main contest then at least you're still apart of it.

We are trying to decide what to do with the extra pages. We'll try to integrate them somehow, but we might not put them in with the main comics. Maybe a second page called "Other Entries" or something.

All the entries are good. I'm totally entering soon, I'm just trying to plot a bunch of comics out in my head so I can do 10 in one sitting without having to think too hard.
