The SuperFogeys Collected Works #2 - "The Techno Shuffle" on Wowio

The Wowio version of the book features an exclusive-to-Wowio short backup story entitled "The Secret Origin of the Space Pig" drawn by Daniel Woodhouse of Thog Infinitron fame. Worth it just for the art (but I confess to being slightly proud of the story as well)!

The SuperFogeys Collected Works #1 - "Insane Romance From Hell" and "Bingo Night" also available.

The sweetness. Wowio is going global in seven days. No more silly "You can't read the comics because you're not a Yank" for me. ^^

Took a looksie at the new contracts. Basically, Platinum gets to post your material on their site, free for viewing, and keeps 80% of the ad revenue for that. That really doesn't sound too creator friendly, like you're just handing over content for WOWIO to profit on while getting very little back.

DJ Coffman (Platinum's arch-enemy?) has posted what he thinks of the new contracts. This is just one person's view, but DJ is very good with legal stuff. It's a useful read. He points out the questionable bits and interprets them: DJ Coffman and the new Wowio contracts

Ah, I can't see DJ as the arch-enemy of Platinum. He was a major, major booster for them after he won the Comic Book Challenge, but they didn't live up to their end of the deal with him, so he protested. The poor guy was counting on the money they owed him. He just didn't want to get screwed.
