I'm trying to add Google Analytics tracking code to my DD site... but Google can't "see" the code to verify it. I tried both versions of the code Google offers, but neither seems to work.
Is there some kind of special workaround for this (like the Project Wonderful problem)?
Eh, I guess no one is going to reply. Apparently DD's code tacks on FOOTER right before the /body tag, so you can't place the Google Analytics code next to /body, as the instructions require. Therefore Google can't find the code.
It says it's working, but all my stats (judging from several websites I put it on yesterday) are abnormally low, and it doesn't seem to have updated from earlier today.
Everyone says how great Analytics is, but from what I can tell so far, it's junk.
Same here. All it did for me on my DD comic was show a single hit a day, even when I was getting thousands...
It could be that DD blocks some of the Java from working? I don't know. the thing is that, that all the other free counter and analysis sites work perfectly.
otherwise analytics tries to find the code on the main drunk duck page (from what I understand it automatically goes to the root of the website to look for it IE(http://www.drunkduck.com/) )
