I like to change my hat often, so my other, less-important articles of clothing can match.

Yeah, ear hats are novel and all, but you sort of get the feeling that they're not "real" hats...

For me it's mostly berets, a fedora or two, and panama hats.
I've got various cowboy type broad brimmed hats, none of those exaggerated Texan types ones though, only traditional styles. One Tricorn, more fur hats, a pith helmet, 3 rusted out old US WW2 helmets from an old base in the north, a flat cap, a riding helmet, Micky Mouse ears, two old cricket caps, an old Australian army officer's cap... And other miscellaneous hats.

They sell top hats here, but only wool felt ones, not the silk ones. To be a good topper, it HAS to be silk.

Hats are a big deal - I have a trunk full of them, and my roommate and I throw "hat parties" a couple times a year. It's good fun. As I have very few good pictures of my lovely hats, here is a picture of one of the ugliest hats ever (that's me and the roommate):
