If I can go down to my local comic shop and buy a copy I'm gonna count it, and I can, so I do
Next up- Submission to Diamond. With a little luck you might be able to buy it at your comic shop next Christmas
I bought mine off the internet with a Le Farce cellphone wall paper thanks to Platinum Mobile. I rock.
Well did, god damn.
Anyway, congrats on having the patience to go through the self publishing process. It's such a pain in the ass trying to get the resolution just right. Then again, your comic appears to be in color, and it may work easier.
Don't they do it in bulk though? How many prints did you get and for how much? Also, did it turn out really well? Lulu was horrendous, so I'm curious if there are better places to go for self publishing.
LeFarce: I've had Ka Blam recommended to me by multiple people both on this site and elsewhere. I've not used them myself, but I trust the people who've told me about them enough that the next time I send stuff to a printer, it'll most likely be them. I got a proof of my last comic made from LuLu, and I was ok. But I got a much slicker proof from Endeavor Printing and went with them instead.
Fuzzy Modem: Congratz on getting the book done. It looks great in your pic! That's awesome that you got it published. There's nothing like the feeling of holding your work in your hand and seeing it in print.
Overall great quality from Ka-Blam. Few minor nitpicks, but nothing unexpected, and they did a great job matching up my world map that spans two pages. I was really worried about it.
Cost me $2.50 per book. (32 pages color) which I'm selling for $4.99. No minimum, no maximum (I printed 300 for local release)

I've given up following my dreams. I just asked where they're going and I'm gonna meet them there.
