Did anyone purchase the graphic novel? If so, I'd love to hear what you thought.

I've actually been meaning to send you a PQ about this same topic, actually. I preordered the book and received it two weeks ago (or something like that, it was shortly after the street date for the book, at any rate).

The format chosen for the book is pretty much the perfect one for this type of story, I think. It's larger than a standard TPB (in page dimensions), which lends a storybook feel that I think enhances the product overall, especially when combined with the actual art in the book, which is freakin' gorgeous.

The only problem I had with the book is a fairly minor one. It seemed as if the pacing wasn't sure whether it was a webcomic or a book in places, and there were a few areas where a caption with the current location appeared when the characters had already been in the same location for a while and hadn't left (nor had there been a cutaway to the other story runner). This seems to be there for the purposes of the web version, but isn't necessary in the print version. Again, this is a fairly minor quibble that doesn't do much to detract from what I find is, overall, an excellent book.

Anybody who hasn't picked up this book should do so, it'll be well worth your ten bucks.

I actually saw this at my local shop here last week. Congrats on the book. :D I loved the format. I agree with RentAThug that the bigger page size really works for the comic's art. Unfortunately, I didn't pick it up because that particular copy looked like it had been beat to a pulp. But now that I know it's out I can certainly grab one online that's in hopefully a bit better shape. :D
