I didn't see a topic up for this yet. My friends and I, at Critical Failure Studios, are contemplating getting a table for MegaCon 2008. Just wondering who all is going to be there? I'm fairly new to the Drunk Duck community. Do the creators of Drunk Duck usually have a table set up? Honestly, I usually just ignore the artist's alley. I've seen a few people mention it on their comics, so I'm looking forward to it this year.
If you're curious about Critical Failure Studios, just check out the links on my comic. I assure you, I didn't mean for this to turn into an advertisement. Anyways, hope to see you Drunk Duck folk at MegaCon.
You should be there.
Nightgig is bringing a few people with us and plan on having maybe 4 tables between us.
You could sit in and do an interview for the gigcast.
In fact if you do go to Megacon please make sure to stop by the nightgig / gigcast table and introduce yourself and ask about an interview.
We always seem to wait until the last day and everyone is tired by then.
I'm really looking foward to this, mainly because I can harass the NightGig gang. Plus, I'll get to crash at Zac's place (Oh, yeah, Zac...I'm crashing at your place) and me an' Kota can braid eachother's hair and talk about Lovecraft.
I haven't been to Megacon in over 2 years, so I might be there this time all cosplayed and everything :D
I might be lucky and have some artwork as well @_@
My brother and I are definitely going. Walk around Megacon with a backpack of our comics and flyers? Meet all of the fine folks from here and over at Nightgig? Shake hands with webcomic megastars like Good Ol' KC, Madscott and JT?!! What could be better I ask? Not a thing!
Hold up, wait wait wait. I thought Megacon was in Orlando? Coulda sworn the webpage said... orlando?? Please tell us its Orlando.
We wish we could get a table, but at $275 a pop we kind of doubt it. Both the main artists for our little jin-dig are out of a job at the moment. Still, it would be nice. A local gallery here in Jacksonville will be holding a comic book show in a couple of months, and while telling me about that she mentioned that a lot of folks starting on the scene get a table and just sit, draw, and hand out flyers for their little schmeel. So it would be nice!
Sadly I won't be going to this one...again. I did the math in my head and we don't really have enough money for the gasoline to go ALL the way from Altoona to Orlando (dammit, 3.09 a gallon, ARE YOU MAD!?).
Wow! Megacon was a blast! It was awesome to see the DD people there! ^_^ I've been inspired to draw again and I hope this will mean I'll be out of my artist block very soon. You guys all rock!
