As I was typing up a reply to a topic, where I talked about having future comic ideas, I thought this would make an interesting topic (hope there isn't one already, this forum needs a search function!).

Feel free to describe the plot in detail, but it's not really necessary. I basically just want to know about stuff like, why haven't you started it yet, do you think you'll ever do it, how would it differ from your current work, stuff like that.

As for me, I have 4 ideas.

One of them is completely ruled out to ever being made and I don't think about it, but if I try to name all my comic ideas it always comes up, so I guess it counts. It'd have been very Otaku-ish, so I'll spare you the crappy details.

Another one was my main idea some time ago, that continually kept bothering me until I had a more realizable one and it moved to the shadows. It'd be a dark, serious 3 part graphic novel dealing with the end of the world, chaos magicians, natural disasters and psychic powers. I often tried to start it (and even had a new comic page for it here on DD for like... 3 hours), but I honestly couldn't come up with any detailed plot, only general outlines. Plus, I suck at drawing weapons, cars, buildings and working in a realistic style, so that's another huge reason for me not doing it anytime soon, but if I might have the skills that I consider fitting for it one day, I will probably give it another try.

Number 3 on this list would basically just be an experiment and practice comic, for me to try out different drawing styles. It has no real plot, at least not "the traditional way". Basically it'd just explore a certain character and what rumors are said about him. I'm not sure about this one, I currently don't have very much ideas concerning those rumors, so yeah... Not sure if I'll start it.

The last one, and the one I'm currenly leaning towards realizing as soon as I'm done with my current goal of finishing a WeirdStar book (me doing two comics at once would not be a good thing), would be also about the end of the world, but in a very different way than the other comic - no supernatural stuff here. Currently I'm thinking of it as a five part story, each with different characters, that might however meet up again the fifth. I don't want to talk about it too much, because I really think the idea is very unique and cool. All I'll say is that I personally have very high hopes for it, and that it would probably be done in this style (and yes, that's one of the characters that's confirmed to be in it).

That's about it for me, now what about you?

I plan on starting a story arc in my comic. The arc will introduce two new characters too the strip. Hopefully it will be funny.

I have two planned for after SCD is finished: Oneiric Defiance and Assembly Required. Oneiric Defiance is already written and is going to be a full color illustrated novel of sorts and Assembly Required is going to be gray scale.

I haven't started them because doing a full-color fx intense comic just makes it too hard to pump out pages plus I like to stay focused. I tried to do OD alongside SCD once and it's actually the reason SCD moved to color. :D

OD will be different as it'll be more novelesque. Assembly Required is just a very intense topic with absolutely no fantasy elements at all. I think it'll be interesting to see if I can keep my head on the ground for that one when the time comes. :D

I have a plot outline for the next two-issue storyarc and basic ideas for about four or five more at the moment. I'm planning to move around in the little world I've created a lot, focus on different characters and try different stuff. I started off with a relatively light-hearted story centered around a young character, but things will get considerably darker and more violent with the next storyarc, and I also have something cookin' that's actually more of a space opera type thing.

I wanna freak people out and actually do a serious comic. I've plans for 2. one is a superhero team comic and the other a Sci-Fi adventure.

On the other hand, I've also had thoughts (deep dark disturbing thoughts) about 2 more funny comics. one a Sci-Fi slap-stick comedy and the other a comic strip that would just be totally weird and out there. like my faved Shiny Things or Do Feed the Bears.

Right now this is all in my head. (dark disturbing remember?) with just a few random sketches and stuff jotted down. I'm already lazy about getting my current works out on a regular basis. But ya never know!

Help! The Paranoids are after me!

I have one, it's called "Before These Crowded Streets"

The webcomic would be about a very big natural disaster, to be more specific, an earthquake. The concept would be simple, a massive 9.8 earthquake (the biggest earthquake ever recorded was a 9.5 in Chile.) hits Los Angeles on December 25th, 2011. Unlike previous earthquakes this one hits at a very crucial moment, during rush hour.

This massive earthquake causes much destruction. All emergency response departments are overwhelmed by the scope of the damage and help cannot get to all the people in need. The fire department is out battling a massive plane disaster at the Los Angeles airport and a horrible four level freeway collapse in the middle of Downtown along with trying to put out all the fires caused by the collapsed high-rise buildings, while the police are trying to save as many people as they can and at least control some of the looting. Without any sort of law enforcements, riots start up. Los Angeles falls into chaos.

Millions are left dead and everything that was once a functioning city is no more.

The story centers around a young man, his girlfriend, and his best friend. At the start of the comic, the young man has just left his girlfriend at the airport and is on his way to work Downtown with his best friend. The webcomic would follow the young man's journey to get from Downtown Los Angeles, to the airport.

As seen through the point of view from his best friend's digital recording camera.

(The soap opera webcomic about nothing in particular.)

Not suprisingyly, I may do a sequel and a prequel to PYC once it ends. that will happen in approximately 3-5 years. Still in early development.

I also have a future comic idea that unlike all the other webcomics I've done, this idea will not be a fancomic of any kind. It will feature original characters, such as Dr. Moreausria, a mad scientist who moves in with his old chum, Dr. Demented after being kicked out of college. Again. Dr. Demented not only has to deal with Dr. Moreaustria's odd goofball manners (such as fighting crime under the guise of Ipod-man) he also must deal with his nephew, Neal, who has superpowers as a result of a demon energy drink he got by accident. The comic's story will also feature abstract charcters in more surreal, cartoony situations, evil dooplegangers, the president, pie, and Walk-Man, iPod-Man's arch nemesis. That's all i have so far, and I cannot wait to start this comic... the name will remain a mystery until I start work on it.

Not bad for someone who's best work is a Pokemon fancomic, huh?

I have a couple of webcomics planned. One is a horror story that I hope to start sometime soon. I already have the story written and I've sketched some of the characters. The second story is a comedy involving bounty hunters. It probably won't be started until I finish How Unfortunate.

How Unfortunate- Chapter Eight begins on June 15th!!
Hitting Rock Bottom With The Creedys - Will return in September!!.

I have one!

A sci-fi/action/zombiehorror story about... well. Hmm.... Shamans seeing dreams of a cure for this "zombie" thing, and two groups of three-man specialist teams of some sort. Drama, action and philosophy.

The main character:

One idea I've been toying around with is a comic I call "The Jackal God", based on my first ever printed comic, HapoVille. It's about a cult centered around the goddess Bast moving into the city of HapoVille, and helping the zombie mob boss Vincent Zomboni take over the city. A "treasure" of the cult, which turns out to be a crazy kid, escapes, and defeats the zombies, and starts a career as a mercenary from that point on. It starts out looking kinda like a typical manga-style zombie comic, but as the story goes on the reader's introduced to a lot more outlandish characters and circumstances that really turn their preconceived notion of what the book's all about upside down.

The main reason I haven't done this one yet is time. I want to have the script updated, and the comic drawn in a manner in which I can draw each page quickly but still make it look good.

Nothing concrete, but yes.

One project will be made with the ending in mind, instead of the open-ended projects I've favored to date.

I once had this idea where the evil Princess Gen-chan creates monsters for the sole purpose of taking over DrunkDuck, but they keep being being destroyed by Voltes and his crew, who pilot ships that come together to form a giant robot duck and...

okay... I really, REALLY need to switch to decaf...

In all seriousness I'm trying to find time to write/draw "The Heavy Metal Sailor", which will be a parody of all those magical girl shows out there.

I have one I'm scripting here and there that will be an anthology series of sorts taking place in my Sune/Endless Winter universe, helping to further explore that timeline. At least for the first short, Anthony -- my sometimes layout artist -- will be doing all the art. I'd like to have different artists work on each story in the series. Likely you won't see main Sune or Endless Winter characters in it at all. Each story will explore the lives of new characters and sometimes background characters that have appeared in the other two titles. For instance, the first story will involve Lillian and Bethany, the Black Sect members from Sune #3 (who appeared in all of about 2 pages), running an operation to rescue a member of an allied sect from one of the corporate nations. It will probably be, overall, a more action-oriented series. At least any story on which Anthony will work, because he likes to draw people kicking the crap out of each other and blowing shit up.

There's another one that's totally outside of my usual, which is where I was like, "I'll do a magical girl parody" and then "no, magical girls are almost a parody in and of themselves. What if instead of a knock-off I actually approached the genre in a (relatively) serious manner?" So I came up with this idea like 6 years ago and hired an artist out of Brazil. It was a long-shot because I'd stopped working with artists years prior because I'd been flaked out on so many times (and so I started teaching myself to draw as a result), but I figured I'd give it a whirl. He'd actually done some work on Star Wars properties before for Dark Horse, but about half-way through the issue he fucked me off, so I have like half an issue of pencils sitting in a box under my bed. His style was very Image, which I thought would be kind of an interesting co-mingling, especially given that while I was doing magical girls, I was doing it in my own warped American way. Anyway, he bailed and I had a friend named RSJ who was also interested, and we kicked designs around, but about five years later now he still hasn't turned out the first issue or the six page prequel short I put together for him. I'd do it myself but I simply do not have the time to take on another full-scale project right now.

Oh, and I have a more superhero oriented one, but again, it's a matter of having the time to do it all myself, and I don't.

I plan to start a diary comic that I'll self-publish as a zine, maybe I'll post it on DD too. I also had an idea for a Cricket's Creature sequel, I'm not sure I'll follow through on that one.
