I've just finished Chapter 2 of Pictures and, well, I'd like feedback. (Hate repeating myself. XD)
I'd like more feedback on the art and layout side, as I'm still having difficulties with that, although anything at all is very much welcomed. I'll be working on Chapter 3 soon and I'd like to know what other people think I should work on, as well as what I know I need to work on (backgrounds, oh man, gotta start drawing better backgrounds).
Any comments are appreciated. ^_^

Okay, the artwork is heading in the right direction, the things I was going to suggest were using more angles, putting in more detailed backgrounds and doing a few further zoomed-out shots rather than just talking heads, but you've already taken steps to improve on them, so just keep going that way. The odd establishing shot would help set the scene, and using being more creative with the angles would make everything look a bit more dynamic and professional.
The layout needs some work. It's got better as the comic goes along, but the pages don't have a strong sequential feeling to the events. Often it's hard to discern reading order, and it feels like everything is happening at once. If you're doing this comic in photoshop, try making a new layer on top of the other layers and using the shape tool and/or selecting areas and filling and erasing bits to make a layer that's the guttering over the top of the image (you can then use the 'stroke' tool to give it all an outline and make it look really pro) . Sometimes the floaty sketchy transitions work okay, but mostly they're confusing and look a bit sloppy. Nice clean guttering in white/black or muted colour would probably look better, especially with all the vibrant colours in the panels. Soft shoujo panel transitions work better with more delicate art styles and slower plot pacing than you're using. Try to rely less on the floating talking heads. It looks like you can't be bothered drawing the people or thinking up interesting panel layouts and body language, which you've shown in other pages, you're quite capable of doing well.
You're doing a good job so far. If you have some money and want books on layout, the best are probably 'Graphic Storytelling and Visual Narrative' by the legendary Will Eisner, 'How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way' by Stan Lee, and my personal favourite book on comics ever, 'Making Comics' by Scott McCloud.
Good luck and don't give up!
Thanks very much, that's really helpful. ^_^
I'll go see if I can find one of those books too. This is the first comic I've done and I'm just kinda learning by doing. I knew my layouts were a bit 'meh', I'll try what you suggested for the next chapter. I've been trying to do less with the talking heads too. (Chapter 1 was pretty much nothing but... XD)
Thanks for the advice! =D
