So my comic, FantastiTeam, has a new page up today, but is not showing an update. Is there anything I can do to prod it along?

Yeap yeap, same here... I had to click on every comic just to see if they updated... All that energy wasted... : (

At least I'm not going crazy. Mine wasnt updating either. Did something happen? I didnt hear anything about DD removing the updater.

I've also got this problem. But you guys at drunk duck rock, and you must often get alot of grief when bugs crop up. You guys are well appreciated despite the minor bugs.

Anyway, I have experienced something like this before. Whenever I try to use the auto-post thing, it never says I've updated. Quite frustrating because I always have to manually post my comics after midnight.

Just a jump in and report me 3 on no updates notices on My Favorites, also noticed it has been for the last two or three days, most of the ones I checked had at least two updates I had missed.

I'm having the same problem. Like two or three of the comics on my favorites list will actually have the little "recently updated" asterisk, when more than that have updated. I missed a couple days of Basketcase Comics because for some reason it didn't appear as updated.

I just noticed the update didn't appear, actually. The greatest comic in the world: Le Farce updated today, and thankfully some people found it and commented. And as it happens all of my favorite comics updated today. If I haden't noticed the problem with Le Farce I probably wouldn't have read the comics on my favorite list.

It's been a buggy few weeks for DrunkDuck, that's for sure.

I had it for 1 day then it was working again and my daily update record in Mugen Unlimited was gone

OK most of the updating comics still aren't showing update marks, also no update email notifications for three days. Can anyone give us some feed back on status of fixing problem???

This is happening to me too but only when I update them the previous day and postdate them. If I update them normally, they show the asterisk.

THIS BUG IS HATEFUL.
And annoying too.

i auto updated. it didn't work. thne i updated foh reals. then it said that my comic had no pages. the pages are back and everything, but that was tres annoying.

so i have one thing to say.

Yeah, it's only the ones that auto update.

I manually updated at about 2 minutes past (Drunk Duck's) midnight, and I got my star. EVERYONE before me on the recently updated list was missing theirs.

Now everyone on the list had a star.

So if you have the opportunity, until this is fixed, to stay up a couple minutes past midnight to manually update, I'd advise it.

This is a really annoying bug, I upload early for a reason, I shouldn't be punished for doing so. :\

But I noticed a weird quirk last night. I tried reposting my page after DD midnight, and the asterix showed up UNTIL I moved the new page down in my list below the pages scheduled to show up later. So, I'm wondering the order of the pages is related to this bug. (Like maybe it isn't JUST that the comic is auto-updating but that there are "future" pages listed too.) BTW, I tried moving "today's" page back to the top of this list, but it didn't recreate the asterix... So it's pretty much another issue altogether...

Not sure if that helps in extermination, just throwing it out there. I hope these bugs get fixed soon.

I agree with this being annoying. I never get enough sleep as it is, and the autoupdate is great. My page updates but no notifications go out, cutting my page views and comments, since people don't know Due East has updated (like today)!

Also, I've made recent file changes to improve the art and those changes aren't showing, either.

Someone said that some temp folder isn't emptying and Volte6 has to manually do it. Is there any more permanent fix coming? I decided to risk deleting a couple of pages and putting them back in manually -- and that worked, but I lost the comments and the ratings for those pages. I'd like to avoid that, but I have three more pages I need the JPG updated and I'd rather not lose those comments.

The thing about the folder filling up and Volte6 having to manually empty it was actually a different issue. That was when we couldn't upload new pages at all. The site would literally just refuse to acknowledge new pages even went up.

I think usedbooks is on to something with the future pages thing though... I've been doing the stay up just past 1am and updating manual thing all week with no problems, updating only one page a day. But today I waited until after 1 and manually updated, but instead of just the one page for today, I also uploaded the next 10 days. And this time, even though I manually updated, it's not showing my asterisk. I also noticed that the last updated date under my comic thumbnail is still showing the date of the 23rd, when I do have a page that went up on the 24th.

So I think it's only not showing the asterisk or sending out notifies if you have pages scheduled to go up beyond just the one day.

I'm not annoyed with it happening, just wandering if it'll be addressed. *waves at the admins* Hay guys, even if you don't know why this is happening, could you give us some news? HPK is right, having buffer pages and auto-updating shouldn't make a person LOSE readers...

Yeah, I'd really like an update, too, especially with the ranking thing (it not changing for the last couple weeks).

My hubby bought me an expensive ad-slot on a really well-known comic for our first wedding anniversary on the 12th... and I'd be sad for him to have gone to the trouble (from what I've heard he's having me an ad designed, too) for it not to be reflected in the rankings. I think he's more excited than I am.

Sadly, I think it is community wide...

Autoupdate isn't telling readers what is new(Must be why I keep going to my fave comics to find that there are several pages on there that updated without anyone being told!).

Anyway...Yay, luckily "midnight" on the update is ten for me, so staying up past that isn't a real issue...

Still I like to be able to put them in queue ahead of time so I can move on to a page in another title...Can't do that. I mean it is a minor annoyance, but one none the less! HEE!

Why is it that only certain comics are showing up as updated? I could understand it if it was an all or nothing kind of thing. But since only certain comics are getting shown as updating, I'm guessing it's not a simple glitch. I'm starting to think that it's "failure by design".

Toshubi- it's been deduced that it's to do with auto-updating. If you manually update your comic after (DD timezone's) midnight, you'll get the star. If you set it to auto update the next day or whatever, it won't be there.

Toshubi, it was working two weeks ago, until we had issues with the upload of pages it was working as advertised. Since then autoupdate has been glitching.

They'll get it, give em time!
