Facebook is the Best, I use to be addicted to Facebook before I got on DD. I still check mine once or twice a day. I have friends and roommates that go on it like every hour XD.
Oh yeah, but I can't add anyone on here to facebook though. I wouldn't mind sharing but I promised my friend that I wouldn't link my DD stuff to my blogs or my facebook for privacy reasons.
I heard that Facebook is like the ultimate stalker site...is that true?
It seemed like Myspace was? Its a combination friendster/livejournal/facebook/xanga kind of thing. Idiots tend to flock to it.
Yeah facebook is pretty stalkerish, far more stalkerish than myspace too. They have something on it called the NEWS FEED and it lets you know everything when you log on like: Who broke up with who, what classes someone is taking, who added a new movie to their favorites list, who is throwing a party and who is attending it, etc.
At first I got freaked out with they added that news feed feature, but its not so bad considering the people u add on facebook are ur friends anyway and would know whats going on etc, and it keeps you updated on your friends no matter how far they are or how often you talk to them XD.
It's both good and bad. But if you don't want to stalk or be stalked there are privacy options to you can choose.
I have found facebook to be way better than myspace, both as a parent and a user. Try joining the facebook group called "Webcomic Addicts Unite!" Once you log in, you can join it without adding anyone else as a friend on the site. Flickr also has some very cool comics groups and you don't have to deal with any of the friend stuff at all.
There's enough filters and whatnot on facebook that you really can keep all your information private at whatever level you want. Also, it's DEFINITELY more of a networking tool than myspace will EVER be.
I have several friends who got onto facebook because they -needed- it to keep in "the loop" if you will. Not because they wanted to do stupid shit and customize their profiles.
But yeah. If you search for "Suzi" you'll find me eventually. My picture is black and white, and I'm in two networks.

I have to be careful with that news feed things now. ^_^ I got spoiled in there for the season finales of a couple big TV shows before I could watch them this summer. I was MAD!
heads up, suzi-any info on the internet is potentially public, despite privacy filters! I'm not being paranoid, either. I make it a rule not to put anything up that I wouldn't want anyone to see(though god help me if some of the IMs from my youth still live, not to mention usenet...).
I have a facebook. In someways I think the news feed normalizes spying on your friends. I know it sounds paranoid, and it is, but it also could be totally true.
