I currently have my page set not to use Raw Html and I really like what it looks like with the Mallard Red template, but it needs vote buttons. I would like to add them below the author's comments section. I am clueless as to how to do this and I'm a new user, so please be specific. Thanks!

One way is to just use BB code in your author comments. Just copy and paste it in each time.. Make it like you'd make a forum banner:
{url=http://yourBCXvoteID.com}{img}http://www.BCXvoteButtonImageLink.com{/img}{/url}
-replace the curly brackets with square ones and the link text with the real links to the vote button and your vote ID.
