At the moment when you put a page to update automatically it goes up at midnight EST time I think...? Which is about 6am GMT... which is kinda annoying for me. XD I really want to be able to control when they go up - probably at midday in my own timezone - because it's just easier to keep track of and gives me a better time to work towards for tomorrows comic. I often find myself, stupidly, working until 3am and beyond thinking "it's okay, the next page doesn't go up until 6am". I need a healthier time to aim for...! D: It's a pain doing it manually too...

Plus the little stars on your favourites list at the side disappear at the update point - so if I update a comic for that day at 3am my time it'll disappear three hours later at midnight DD time meaning some people might miss the update... but for me it's already that day! It's confusing! If the stars were there for "comics that have updates but you haven't read yet" it might be more useful... I've missed updates because the star has disappeared before I've seen it because I'm on a different time zone.

So uh, if you can't be bothered reading that babble I'm proposing;

- Some sort of control over what time pre-uploaded comics are put live

- The asterixes next to comic names on the favourites list to the right are changed to indicate updated comics that you haven't read yet rather than comics that have only updated that day

The asterix thing might be hard- since I think it's kind of like the symbols in front of the DeviantArt names, they're site-wide and sort of "part of the title". I dunno if that made sense. ^^; And that's just my guess.

And That would be pretty cool- if you had a way to set it so it goes up at noon or something. I think they do it at midnight because it's easy, and it'll be up by the time most time zones wake up/check it.

And it would be nice if you can set your time zone (I'm luckily on the same zone- but most aren't that lucky), but I don't know if it's that realistic for anything beyond the forums. I don't know how that works.

I dunno i like the fact that i can wake up every morning and have most of the comics already updated... i don't want to have to check up every few hours to see if any new comics have updated...

That is good- but how many actually use the early update system? A lot of people just finish the pages and put it up when they get a chance.

By the way, -6 GMT isn't EST. EDT is -5. -6 is CDT ^^ ...not that you care.

But that's just for comics that have been uploaded already - Like RDraconis said, there are a lot of creators who don't use that system and just upload pages as soon as they're completed. What I'm saying is if they upload it at 2am GMT then I probably won't know it's updated - I check my updates using my favourites list and seeing which titles have asterixes by them - and by the time I wake up the asterix for that title would be gone already~

I'm just thinking there should be some sort of way to see comics that have updated but you haven't read yet - like what they do on OnlineComics.net. It tells you how many pages have gone up since your last visit to that comic's website. It's really useful. *_* It needn't be that elaborate though - just a "you forgot to check these comics" thing or something~

It's not that I don't care - I don't know! ^^; Thanks for telling me~ All I know is DD updates about 6am my time and it's kinda annoying... XD

Or maybe have it up for 24 hours after the comic's updated. So if they update right before DD's midnight, it'll still be up the next day.
