Seriously, dont waste your money. Ive never seen a film that was so unmemorable, except maybe the first one.

Which...I remember nothing about. Except that it was super meh.

One thing stuck out in this movie though. Stan Lee. Playing himself...when he played a character in the first one.
So the same "actor" is in both movies but plays different people...WHY?! He was attending their WEDDING...as HIMSELF?! When he played a character in the first one that HAD A REASON TO GO TO THEIR WEDDING!

And why?! For a cheap joke.

Gods...

In conclusion: Im fed up of seeing Stan Lee in Marvel movies. Funny once, now just stupid.

End.

I don't know why, but i didn't hate it, i sort of enjoyed it. Though, really there is absolutely no reason why i should. Only 3 of the characters are played the way they should, and one of those 3's background was all wrong.

They really overplay Human Torch's infatuation with women, to a degree where its freaking annoying.
The Invisible Woman whines...a lot, like a freaking lot.
And Von Doom is more Evil jackass instead of diabolical schemer

Only Mr.Fantastic, The Thing, and the Silver Surfer are acted out correctly.

But they screwed up the Silver Surfer's background too much. First off, Norran Radd became the Silver Surfer not only to spare his planet from Galactus, but because he was bored with his utopian society and wanted to explore the universe. Also, the Silver Surfer looked for planets the EXACT opposite of Earth, lifeless plans but with a lot of energy, because Galactus didn't want to hurt life anymore than the next person. It was Galactus's hunger that drove him to attack Earth.

These can really hurt how much you enjoy the movie if you continue to compare it to the comics, but i guess in the end for me, i enjoyed as a movie. I don't consider it to be an homage to the super hero foursome

The only time I've liked seeing Stan Lee play himself was in the Simpsons.

I saw F4 today.

Granted I didn't like the first one and they got hte Silver Surfer WAY wrong. This one wasn't bad. It wasn't good either. But I didn't want to gouge my eyes out and projectile vomit.

That is a good thing.

I don't know how you can say things/characters are "wrong" when each one has like 10 different and conflicting origins, storylines, and even quirks.

The writers of this movie made it clear that they weren't using solely the original comic... and that they were using several versions including the "Ultimate" universe.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'll wait on the review... but the first one I thought was a decent adoptation of F4 and I enjoyed it - although I did find it a bit bland. I am, however, highly anticipating this one and I'm seeing it Monday as F4 is hands-down my favorite comic series.

On a side note, F4 is my favorite because I got to read alot of the original early prints when I was young because my dad had them as his favorite comic was F4. He had all of them for like decades of being a fan himself - the first 50 or so. He didn't care about collecting and just kept them around to read. (I know - a tragedy) It's a shame that they were all burned in a fire because even in their poor condition they were/are worth a penny or two.

Someone Said:

While this is true... the overwhelmingly primary reason was a self-sacrifice to save his planet and the rest of his reason for leaving can certainly be saved for another movie... which it sounds like there will be a Silver Surfer "spinoff".
