I havent felt like this in a looong time. Its maybe been 6 years since I felt this good. My ideas are flowing, my drawings are lookin better, im realy into it again. Back in the day I used to draw ALL THE TIME.and as i got a lil older, and highschool crept up, I wasnt drawing as much. I had less ideas. And it was like that for a while.

Now Im back to where I left off. But only naturally alot better than I was when I was 13-14 years old. Ever since last Friday, ive been drawing nonstop. Writing more story for my comic. up-ing my game, n all that.

maybe its just me but I know as an artist we go through certain eras and periods of ups and downs. I get artist block every once ina while. Writers block too. They usually come at the same time. I also go through a lack of inspiration period. But the cure for that is usually watching a cool ass cartoon or somthin. But right now, I dont have any of that. Everything just came back at once! Am i the only one?

That happens to me sometimes.. it's like all of a sudden, a lightbulb will go off in my head and for a couple of weeks everything comes out exactly like I want. Of course, it's usually followed by a horrible slump in which nothing comes out the way I want, so I usually approach with caution.

I don't feel like I've hit that mark yet. I think I've still got a long way to go before I can consider myself at the height of my capabilities.

It's a comic!

I write in spurts. For long stretches of time I will have neither the motivation nor the capability for creative writing. Then there will be a spurt where I will brainstorm for weeks to months and basically write the entire story which will slowly be further edited, revised, and drawn.

I think all artists go through the same thing. Recently I hadn't drawn anything for nearly a year and then all of a sudden I was filling up spiral after spiral with comics that I came up with just off the top of my head.

I think it's usually triggered when a flash of inspiration goes off and you come up with a story you can really get into drawing without ending up bored. It also helps if your comics get a lot of praise, that usually gives you enough motivation to keep you going until your next dry spell.
