sometimes handwriting is nice, but for the most part typing them in on the pc is usually better.
because usually most people who handwrite it in ends up having an comic that's very HARD to read.
after all, not everyone has perfect and clear handwriting...
I'm on hitatus while I redo one of my webcomics. Be sure to check it out when I'n done!
I you like the handwritten look there are a lot of fonts that have a handwritting look. These can be easier to use than actually hand writing your text especially when it turns out you made a spelling goof or forgot a word. They only problem with the "hand written" computer text is that it's kindda obvious that it's a computer font since all the letters are the same. The best thing to do is try them both out and pick which one you like and works the best for you.
If your computer doesn't have handwritten fonts or ones you like you can try www.dafont.com this site has a lot of fonts on it and the best part is that they're all free and they work for Macs and PCs.
Do you think its better to spend a good deal of time fiddling with the text to make it readable and then carefully inking it...
...or go with the same/better result that you can easily fix and adjust in the computer, and spend much more time doing the art rather than the text?
Text is time consuming, and is a nightmare if you have lots of it.
Id recomend doing it in the computer.
You can also find lots of comic fonts in

I struggled with this for the first two whole books of Due East. Text is time-consuming! It's especially time consuming when you're doing you're very best to make it legible and dark enough to be read when scanned (I don't ink -- anybody want a job? j/k!) and yet, it still was probably the area of the comic most open to justifiable criticism.
Starting with Book Three, I'm experimenting with a nice computer font. If it's well-received, that's the way we'll go from now on. It sure saves me a lot of time!
The handwriting in your comic totally fits and adds alot of spirit to your characters. You probably want to make sure that the word balloons never (or rarely) touch the letters though. Keep up the good work.
