I must say Ive messed with Blender 3D a lot and its a great Freeware program. My roommates went to school for 3d graphics and i have already surpassed them using this program. Now to the main point. I might make a tutorial but not for a while, but I will post some sites to look at and if you need any further help just send me a private quack and ill give some tips or even give a msn/yahoo sn name. Also so extra tips will be posted in the forum if needed.
Heres what site I mainly used:

and for eyes I use this tip:

remember when scaling or moving your objects in blender 3D, to push X, Y, or Z to move along the certian axis. and I usually always use the modifier Subsurf to curve the edges to make it more realistic. and if your going to make a figure, the modifier mirror is a great tool also. I'll be on about everyday so get ready to 3D!
oh and download Blender 3d Here:
http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/
its for both linux and windows and Mac
Could you show a example of your works? I started this sunday and finished it tonight
Its fun to play with the glass effects. You just click shading then materials and goto mirror transp then enable the bottom one to make it transparent, the the top one to enable a mirror ability.
*NOTE* make sure to see this in the render that you ENABLE the RAY button in the render mode. otherwise it just looks the same.
For more tips just ask, I should be on about every night!
I love BLender.
Unfortunatly though, I lost all my models when my computer crashed! X(
I've made some fair renders, cheack me out on Deviantart.com (i am sniperjedi there as well)
