Welcome to the DD Review Thread! This is where you sign up to get your comic reviewed.
HOW TO DO IT
To sign your comic up on the list you must have reviewed at least 4 other comics.
These reviews must be of sufficient lenght, which means at least more than a paragraph. One sentence reviews will not be accepted.
YOUR REVIEWS MUST BE OF SUFFICIENT LENGTH empathizing this, people. Your reviews must give specific example of what you like and dislike about the comic. Do not just say that you don't like the art, write exactly what you don't like about the art. Linking to pages that you think illustrate your points is great.
IF YOUR REVIEWS SUCK, I WILL DELETE YOU OFF THE LIST. I will also send you a PQ telling you this.
Your comic must have at least 20 pages to be reviewed.
Also, you can only sign up one comic at a time. If you want to sign up additional comics, or sign your comic up again, you must wait until your first comic has been reviewed.
If your post does not look like this I will delete it, and you will not get a spot on the list.
This thread will only be for signing up your comic. No discussion about the state of the list will take place in this thread. Use the Discussion for next Review list thread for that sort of thing.
No actual reviews take place in this thread. All reviews take place in seperate threads I (or anyone else I give authority to) titled "DD Review Thread of Comic Name".
Any questions can be PQ'ed directly to myself, or brought up in the discusson thread if you think others would benefit from your question.
REVIEW GUIDELINES
ANYONE CAN REVIEW COMICS. You don't have to be a comic god or an amazing artist to write a review. Critics aren't the only people who read comics, and their opinion is just as useful as the opinion of the average joe.
PUT EFFORT INTO YOUR REVIEWS. Do not write one line reviews, such as "I love it" or "I hate it". That is what the DD comment system is for. I expect reviews to be at least a pargraph. It's also a good idea to link to references to help prove the points you make in your review.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO BE MEAN. People signing up for this should expect honest critiques to come their way. At the same time, don't flame. Give logical reasons for why you don't like something.
NO NON REVIEW POSTS IN REVIEW THREADS. You are not allowed to comment directly on other people's reviews, the nature of the comic outside of a critical standpoint, or on the comic's author. Stick to the discussion of the comic, only. (Note: if you are the author of the comic being reviewed, you are allowed to respond, but if you start a flame war or whine a lot I will shut you up.)
Finally, comics waiting to be reviewed MUST review other comics. As long as we keep a steady stream of reviews coming, I won't have to complain about this. So everybody do some reviews, okay?
Thank you.
PS: ONLY DRUNK DUCK COMICS. I will make an exception if you are a paticularly strong contributer to the community, or if you do a lot of reviews.
Industrial
A very seriously unserious super hero comic that can be pretty serious when it wants to be. Really! I Speak Louder Than Words
My dream journal. Probably wont float everyone's boat since its kind of esoteric and peculiar rather than a linear story about characters.
Dear lord! It's been over a year since I had something reviewed. XD Granted, the one I want reviewed is a continuation of another comic I did waaaay back when. >.> I don't know how to do this. :/ BD is extremely old and hasn't been updated since November 2006... and it's my first webcomic. But it's also an important part to the Boogey Dancing storyline. ^^;; So I guess if some want to go read the 109 pages that it is... go ahead. but you don't actually have to review it.
