I embedded color profiles (sRGB ) on the pages I uploaded, but they display lighter / washed out compared to the originals. Is there a way to make a browser display images according to their profile?

For example, if you copy this page to your hard drive and open it with an image viewer, the colors (should) look deeper and the blacks blacker. That's the way it's meant to look, but I think browsers ignore color profiles. Hopefully I'm wrong.
