Hello everyone, today I posted the last regular strip of The X-Heroes. Go and look at it and leave lots of comments! I will be back next week with a short epilogue, some announcements, and the unveiling of an X-Heroes website with all sorts of cool bonus features. Here's page one from today's strip:

Ahhh haha, pretty awesome. Did you like the tick? Totally makes me think of the tick. Great work, keep it up. I chuckled pretty good over the pc getting fried. XD

I think this is some of the best stuff on DrunkDuck right now. Why? 'cause it's very fun to read, looks okay, is funny and orgiginal. I don't know how to say it when it goes about comics, but it has great 'cinematography' to put it that way.

Who didn't like The Tick and what's wring with them? Yeah, I would say that The Tick and Office Space (I did this strip before The Office came out) are the two biggest influences on The X-Heroes.

Thanks for the high praise Crazy Dutchman! My storytelling style is very influenced by that of movies, and I think it shows. But I'm not one of those guys doing comics because film is too hard. Comics are A #1 in my book. So thanks for noticing!

Aah, I was wondering personally if the many small panels were a Bendis inspired thing, but actually I think you do it better than he does hahaha (I like Bendis, but he over relies on long monologues and really simple conversations that take up an entire page of 20 boxes...not that fun to read when he does that). It's like seeing all the keyframes of an animation the way you do it, and it works great, like the dialogue barely needs to be there because the pictures say everything. 'Nuff said.

Yeah, Bendis can get a little cuh-razy with that stuff... sometimes I wonder if he's joking! But Bendis is a recent discovery for me, so no. Not an influence. Thanks for the kind words.

Okay kids, this is it! X-Heroes was updated for the last time for the foreseeable future today, so please head on over and let me know what you think. Also, click the "pic" in my "sig" to see the all new all exciting TheXHeroes.com!

PS- Darth Mongoose... I have a confession to make. I stole the dimensions of my signature picture from you a month ago, before we chatted... I just didn't expect... How could I know? I hope we're cool.

Hahaha, don't sorry, it's a standard ad banner size so you didn't really steal it. The size of advert banners for Buzzcomix, and it happens to just fit nicely as a sig banner.
