How come you never put up sprite comics as a featured comic? I would like to see maybe my comic, pokemario, up there one day. So far, I've only noticed drawn comics.
Because in reality, it doesn't take that much time and effort to put a sprite comic together, since most (note: most) sprite comics that I've seen on here are all pre-drawn and ripped from videogames. So half the work right there is already done for you.
Whereas a drawn comic takes a lot more time and work to do.
Some sprite comics can be done well, and even use custom created sprites... however, finding good sprite comics that also do not use copyright infringing works is not an easy task

So the 'Mario/Megaman/Sonic' sprite comics don't get featured because DD could get sued for promoting them, as their content features stolen material, but just hosting the comics means no one gets in trouble?
Why not feature stuff like Screwball Islands or Enter the Duck, where all the sprites are custom made? Or have a seperate icon down the bottom of the main page for sprite comics with a message saying something like 'Drunkduck does not encourage the following uses of stolen material, however, these are a good read' or something like that?
Insanity Complex: We may not be insane, but we like to think we are
I dunno about the copyright thing in particular, I didn't know that was a concern for featured comics. However, i'll say that I haven't featured any myself because, basically, I don't really read any myself, thus I don't know about any that I might want to feature.
The other trouble is that because of the onus of being a sprite comic, any sprite comic we DO feature will have to be near-perfect. The second a sprite comic goes in that featured box, a thousand people will start looking for faults with it.
I don't mind featuring a sprite comic, I just don't know about any, and I can't find time to go through Browsing them all to find the 10 good ones out of 1000. If someone wants to PQ me to let me know of any *really really good* sprite comics, I promise to check it out seriously for featuring. (Don't take offense if it doesn't get featured though, there's a bunch of things that come into play.)
There have been one or two I'd feature (like Screwball Islands) but the problem there is that they haven't updated in ages, etc... I wouldn't feature a hand-drawn comic that hasn't updated in months, either.
I'm only saying this:if sprites are stolen, how come no company has sued the promoters of said sprites.
And I think A sprite feature would be cool but I see how that would take more time to sort out.And some pre-made sprite comics are totally orginal.Like Mobius(its stopped updating but still.)
Don't raise the bar. Shatter it.
-a philosophy by me.
Just because no one has bugged them about hosting sprite comics doesn't mean they should push the envelope by featuring them. Drunk Duck gets more attention every day (Cowboys & Aliens, Top Cow), so why take the risk?
i have a question for the admins thugh it will come off hostill i dont meen to be but are sprite comics held from being in the top five or are they just as limited as drawn comics?
