To those of you who know me, you will know that I draw both EarthBound and The WAVAM Project, hosted here at DD, and my name is Zoe. However I now have an actual novel coming out too. It is called The Amulet of Vichalace and will be available from Feb 2007, although pre ordering is already available now.

The day before Celeste Reignsway's twenty first birthday dawned much the same as any other.

Being an orphan, doted on by her slightly overprotective foster father, she had much to look forward to and her pleasant yet uneventful life was everything that Celeste could ever have wished for.

But nothing could have prepared her for the unearthly and horrifying events which would soon follow. After all, she had never known or even suspected that her world was so closely linked with another; a world much darker than her own where supernatural forces rule the city by night. Even when informed of the mysterious and violent nature of her parent's deaths, and her own miraculous survival as a mere baby, Celeste remained blissfully unaware of the nightmare that was about to begin and change her life forever.

The Amulet of Vichalace tells the story of this nightmare; of how one unexceptional young woman begins her ill-fated journey down a dark yet already well trodden path and discovers that some questions were never meant to be answered.

Hey Big O (I'm sorry, but I just like nicknaming people) *winks*

No, it hasn't gone up on the front page, as I only just announced the actual release date yesterday, but I would be very happy if it did. I will be sure to promote DD with it, after all, some of the characters migrated from the early days of EarthBound into the book, so, in a way, I owe it all to my comics, and DD for hosting them and getting me noticed. :D

Can I get this in the US? I don't usually read Vampire books, but considering that someone from DD made it...

Wish it were a graphic novel though.

Is it gonna be released for U.S. bookstores? If so, I'm definately gonna get a copy, it looks interesting!

Yes, just pop into your local bookstore and pre-order or go to amazon.co.uk. It's not on .com yet, but it will be so check back.

To be honest it's not actually a vampire book. There's a few in it, but unlike most books they aren't main characters. Important yes, but it goes deeper than that :D

Congrats on the book. Judging the book by it's cover, it definately seems interesting. Out of curiosity, how many pages is it? Also will I be able to get it in Borders?

It's 325 pages long - so a fair size. I think it works out at 24 chapters in two parts. There is also a prologue as well (which is one of my favourite scenes- the opening is quite dramatic!)

I am sure you could order it through Boarders, but I do not know if they would stock it, as there are not many of them around here.
