My pride is really taking a hit for this, but I need an artist for a comic I want to put on.

I'll start out with the days of work. I'm not some slave driver and I'll let you pick the days, but a set schedule would be nice. The thing I'm listing is that I'd like either 2 or 3 comics a week. I really don't mind which, just make sure you try to stick to it.

Secondly, the story(more information at the bottom. this is just a basis). It's about birds. more specifically, One bird's first flight south for the winter. It's an adventure story comic(although humor isn't non-existent, it just takes a backseat. Thus it's a story comic). Like I said, more information at the bottom.

Thirdly, is the art style and comic setup. I would like a decent artist, for one. The comic set-up would be like a manga page. The art doesn't have to be mangaesque, just the page's set-up. Also, you must have a good ability of drawing animals, especially birds and must have some non-vulger way of deciphering boys from girls and also a way to decipher different characters of the same species. You must also be able to draw snow, grass, forests, and possibly deserts. Ink or color is up to you, but I would thoroughly enjoy color.
All in all, the art is mostly up to you, since I'd rather just concentrate on the story.

Which brings me up to the story. It's about a young Robin named Ace who is excited because he's about to fly south for the first time. He lives in a hole in a tree with a traditional nest in it somewhere in what would be Canada to us. By the way, Humans don't exist here and animals talk to each other. Don't ask me why there are no humans, cause I don't intend to explain. Let's just say it's in an alternate universe or something. Anyway, the entire story is about his journey and it's hopefully many adventures along the way. It kinda has that feel-good story feel to it most of the time, but that doesn't mean it can't get dark at times. If you would like to see a script of the first few comics, then please PM me.

If you are interested, then I would like to see your art before I do anything. I would like to see what will be the cover page. You may do one of two things.

You may draw an upward shot of Ace flying with the sky with clouds above him. OR

You may draw a downward shot of Ace flying with a snowy ground under him.

Thank you in advance to any takers. If you have any questions, please PM me.

EDIT: Just thought what kinda story it is. It's sort of coming-of-age story. In fact, I think that's what you'd call it on the entirety

Hmmm, sound's not dissimilar to a few comics, notably Le Farce's "duck hunt" in that it's a non-humour comic about an anthromorphised (in the most minor sense) bird dealing with the related problems of being a bird.

I absoloutley cannot help.

What I would like to know is if you think that the stigma is being a spriter is hindering your search for an artist?

Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

Also, tell random people they are awsome! it helps!

Dont need an excuse for there to be no humans. Theyre not the focus so they can just be simply left out. Look at the movie Valiant for example.

I have read Le Farce's Duck Hunt, which is a great piece of work. but unlike his, which is a story of a bird who is looking for revenge, mine is about a bird's journey south. And my bird isn't mentally disturbed.

And actually, yes, I do think the spriter thing might turn people away, but I usually try not to think about it.
