After all the anti-Ratner press and then all the awesome trailers and TV Spots, are you looking forward to the film?

I for one am counting the days til it's release!

Are you kidding? This has Phoenix in it! I'd kill my own mother to see it!

Well, not my own mother. Maybe someone elses. I really do not care if the writing is complete crap, as long as we get to see the firebird thing just once.

There looks to be so much fan service in the film I think it'll be awesome no matter what. And yes I too am willing to kill someone elses mother to see it... Hmm I bet my roommate doesn't need a mom anymore

Sorry, but I'm not much into Marvel or the live action movies. I'll probably rent the movie or end up seeing it, but I'm not in a huge hurry.

Fanservice is cool though.

That's cool ccs, thanks for not just bashing the movie like some people do. I'd suggest at least a rental...unless the movie does end up sucking, in which case I'll probably shed a single tear....or many many single tears

I was interested until I saw that Youtube clip.

Now I think I'll just rent it. Too bad, the first two were awesome. I think Brian Singer leaving to do Superman Returns made more of an impact than people would think.

Just so everyone aware that clip was a chopped down version shown on Leno when Hugh Jackman was on.

The loss of Bryan Singer did make a huge impact, I'm a huge fan of his, heck my e-mail address is an homage to him. Though oddly if you just compare the trailers of X3 and Superman Returns (which is as dumb as judging two books by their cover) it just seems like X3 is so much more exciting. My X-Men fanboy roots outweighs my love for Singer and honestly I never got into Superman, he just always seemed like a robot, a boring boring robot. I'll see both movie though, heck I'm a comic book fan above all else. Gotta support the big ones so the small ones can get made!

I never really liked Superman either, at least the movies and such. The villains were allright, and the new Superman game seems to get the right idea ("If ANYONE else can do it, be it Spider-Man or the Hulk, it's not big enough for Superman" was one of the quotes from a maker)

In fact, I've always preferred Marvel over DC with the exceptions of Batman and the Flash. Maybe Green Lantern.

But seriously, this clip sucks ass. Acting? Horrible. Dialogue? Cheesy as all hell.

Collossus was so shiny he looked like the Silver Surfer for chrissakes.

Also, the Fastball Special looks insanely stupid in live-action.

Oh, and Wolvie coming out from behind the head of what was apparently a giant laser-firing semi truck in the sky? Lame.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MY AVATAR IS WAITING FOR!!!?
...no seriously

Yea I'm really looking forward to the movie, they've done well in not screwing up the series for me (YEA IM LOOKING AT YOU HULK, AND YOU TOO DAREDEVIL) and with the brief clip i saw of Archangel (or so i pray) i wait anxiously

Angel looked like the top half of him was a midget.

And Hulk was an allright movie, just boring as hell.

It did have a frog exploding though, which is more than I'm probably going to be able to say for X-Men 3.

I actually really liked Dare Devil. Better than the first Spider-Man movie. I do not care what anyone has to say about that. You will not change my mind.

HULK - I did not like. The effects were great, but the "father" story was dumb.

Never saw Electra, but any movie with Jennifer Garner in a tight leather outfit can't be all bad.

Yeah, I gotta agree (except it looks like a robot head, though I assume you know that and are just trying to be funny- nice try! ). They don't show HOW he defeated it, you just see the head fall to the ground. That was pretty cheap. Collosus looks lame. And Storm with a haircut? Still hot, but not as hot.

But I'll pay my 8 bucks and see it.

I just didn't realize they were so cheap they couldn't show the Sentinel.
[list]
Wolvie seemed mildly irritated, grunting, rather than visceral roaring

Colossusilver Surfer

Fastball special is shitty in real life

Halle Berre may get an oscar revoked

Horrible editing: Wolvie RUNS out from cover, split second later he's walking calmly.

Horrible special effects: I lol whenever that bus behind Wolvie is blown up and slides

Horribly cheesy: "That was my last cigar"... It's official. Wolvie has been Hollywooded. Shit.[/list:u]

Yeah, they really could have done more with that. The scene in LOTR Return of the King looked better than that. And that was crappy.

And I gotta say, the "Pheonix" story line is not a favorite of mine.

If Halle was gonna get her Oscar taken away it would've been for Twatwoman. Believe me! At least her hair doesn't look as fake as the wig from the first X-Men movie.

Since when is Juggernaut a mutant? I know he's in Excalibur now, which I thought was a "mutant's-only club". Plus, a few of the other X-Men TV appearances has him as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which is stupid because HE'S NOT A MUTANT! His powers are magic-based! If Juggy's a mutant then Dr. Strange is a mutant, and he's not(just a bad dresser).

What is up with the "no Nightcrawler" crap. Is there some policy about not having more than one blue furry guy in the movie? While we're on it, are Toad and Sabertooth dead or what? They didn't show the corpses, so according to comic book law, they are still presumedly alive.

At least Icey's got a better role in this one. Hopefully they'll have some scene with all 5 original members. Now they gotta introduce Firestar so they could do a cheesy Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends flick just for old times sake. That's worth an Incredibles-styled 21st Century update!

I gotta agree with tater on some points:

they better show better moving sentinels in the movie.

fast ball special sucks

But still, ive been waiting for this movie for a long time, heck ill even buy a copy of this when its out on video.

Gasp! Phoenix is one of the driving forces behind me actually reading comics, so...

The first Excalibur had Captain Britian in it, and he wasn't a mutant. Just saying.

I heard Nightcrawler wanted an insane amount of money to be in this one, so they turned him down. I think I saw Toad in that seven minutes of the X-men movie they showed on Fox, so I'm guessing he's still alive.

I'm a little pissed Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't in this at all, not even mentioned! They're Magneto's kids for crying out loud!

Yeah, but they were more Avengers characters than X-Men...

So was Beast when you get down to it. BTW, do they explain how he was human looking in X-2 and then Hairy Smurf in this one?

Beast was in X2?

Also, this just in, the X3 game is total shit.

Nightcrawler's levels are pretty fun but the rest is utter tripe.

Beast appears in human form as Hank McCoy on a talk show being shown in the bar where Mystique seduces the security guard from Magneto's prision.

He was only an Avenger for a bit; most of his super-heroing was done with the X-Men, of which he's a founding member...'Course, there was that stint with the Defenders...and the Champions...and X-Factor...and...Dang! If there's a group, Beast'll join it...
