Welcome to the DD Review Forum. The purpose of this forum is to encourage community reviews to help artists collect honest opinions about their works, and hopefully get some advice on how to improve.
Here's some rules.
To sign your comic up on the list you must have reviewed
at least 3 other comics.
# Always give your honest opinion. No sugar coating or needless bashing. Say what you actually think about the subject of the review.
# You cannot create threads for your own comic. There's a list, and you have to sign up for it.
# Stay on topic. I'm okay with a bit of silly every now and then, but let's stay focused for the most part.
Types of threads in this forum.
1. DD Review Threads. Marked in RED, please review these comics FIRST! Comic review takes place in these threads and in these threads only. Only I can create them, and only if the comic has signed up in the DD Review Thread and waited their turn.
2. Threads discussing the nature of reviewery. As in threads dicussing the actual process and systems of reviewing, as well as threads about how to write better reviews.
Why is it that whenever i see someone create a review topic of their own it is ALWAYS for a sprite comic? I mean there have been like 4-5 just in a couple of weeks.
I just delete them, but it does make you wonder if sprite comic creators have a problem with reading.
the rules sound fair to me. ^^ but I have one minor question, is there a certain length reviews should be? how in depth are we supposed to go when we're reviewing?

There you will see a few reviews of different lengths and all of those are good.
The point is otherwise to help the author of the comic by being as detailed as possible.
hi,I'm new to comics, making them that is. I was just looking at some reviews and saw a few locked topics. I was curious as to what made a topic get locked. Thanks.

Hi,
Those topics are locked mostly because they are reeeeeeally old review topics that got "digged up". The focus is on the latest review topics first and foremost.
Also some of those comics were linking to non-Drunk duck places before the "only Drunk duck comics" rule came to be.
How/where am assigned to review which 3 comics please? Further clarificaion on whether you wade in on posts in red or get specific assignments by signing up on a specific forum thread.
There's no assignments. You just look through this forum and pick 3 you're interested in. :] Just make sure they're not too old- adding a review into a thread that is 6 months old isn't going to be very useful to anyone. Just add your review of that comic as a reply to its thread.
Then, when you've done 3, you can make your own post to sign up in the sign-up thread. for that thread, just follow the pattern of what others have done, and link to your three reviews so people can find them easily.
The threads that are in red are just the most recent ones. As they get older and collect more replies/reviews, they are made black and move down the list to mix with all the others. You don't HAVE to review any red ones, but as they're the most current ones available, reviewing them would be more useful than reviewing one that is several months old. If the 'red' comics don't get enough reviews, they stay red, and it slows the overall list down. Sometimes people who have signed up have to wait a while because it's taking a long time for the current/red ones to get enough reviews.
Is english your second language? You don't say more longer, you just say longer.
No one's gonna kill you for an honest review. Unless they're as crazy as me.
"According to society I'm an Anarchist" "If I came in peace, why would I have a ray gun?" "Apology, worthless. Grudge, not."

S'okay. Wait. I should have told you this in another place. These are the rules. Um...*says something 'ruley'*

chiisa, i just noticed your comic only has TWO PAGES!?!? The limit is 20 pages.
As for your reviews. The language is a big problem yes, but most of all you really don't give any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Just saying "Try to do it more better." isn't all that helpful.
Nope,it has just 5 pages, because on one public house, they said the manga needs 5 pages. u.u
Well they were wrong...at the...public house (in my country, that means a bar (pub), I'm a little bemused). While there's no problem with making a manga of five pages in length, it does not mean that all manga must be five pages in length.
To get your comic reviewed here, you must have at least 20 pages and have written 3 reviews of a decent length and quality. By which I mean that they need to be reviews which could be used by a potential reader to learn about the overall quality of a comic, or by the artist or writer to hear about the strengths and weaknesses of their comic in detail. They ought to be at least a paragraph long.
To write a couple of sentences vaguely saying that they could do it better and then expect full and detailed reviews in return is kind of disrespectful.
If you want feedback on your comic, but don't have the English skills or page count for this part of the forum, I strongly recommend going to the 'Hey, Look What I Did!' section of the forum and making a thread for your comic with a [CRIT] label.
I´m making now the second comic, because people saw the first and liked it.
This has 20 pages.
I´ll start with the first, when I´ll finish this, because the editor of another pu...(well don´t know how you call that)said me I must do 20 pages.
