I think the new Drunk Duck should have reviews, a webcomic store, webcomic news, webcomic creation information, links to places to get good hosting for comics, and great forums. What it shouldn't have is another one of those top comic lists, or comic hosting, or comic voting.

Thanks to MisterSpook on the 'Gig chat for the idea

Crap, didn't see this. I posted for something similar elsewhere in the "General Chat" area. In a nutshell, we just make the DrunkDuck a fully functional and elaborate webzine centered around "webcomicry".

I was going to suggest a similar thing if some one else hadn't. This is a great idea. I was actually thinking of something more along the lines of a drawing reference rescource to help artists if they're in a bind. But this idea is just as good!

I agree somewhat with this.

At first I was like, ugh forum again. But a webcomic resource forum would be amazing.

We can still be a community in a forum setting.

We can have all of those things, maybe have a recently updated comic thread (if people wanted to promote their stuff)
Reviews (Which have started here to a great start)
Comic Help (which has started well)

We were a friendly community on old drunk duck, I can't see why we can't be in any other setting.
Personally, I think if nothing happens and all we have is this forum, we can still accomplish amazing things :P

It would be cool if it was some sort of webcomic artist's toolbox. It could house things like the Quact script, or other scripts to help automate a person's comics. It could have fonts, tutorials, and tips.

I'd go with that.

this is a good idea, since the commenting system before allows users to put in comments suggestions to the artist and the current page being viewed. we all want to get better one way or another so its a good venue for people to share and learn from others

That's a really good idea. I don't think there are any other sites out there that offer so many tools to help the artist that actually have someone there to really talk to. I'm all for it!

Definitely a good idea. A place where webcomic artists can find help and resources, and also where we can whore our comics

I agree wholeheartedly, and I think that there should be a small(er) comic list that isn't mianpage, but can still attract traffic to an artist's site.

I also think it would be a good idea to make a bunch of comic tutorials (paint shop, drawing, ps, etc....) So we have less and less "How to do this???" Stuff in the future.
