Im kinda wondering do you guys ever had any outside trouble? you know.... people that look down and attack your comics? dont you find it irritating when they do that? especially when they are anonymous....

Not really. But if they did, I'd just let it fly. It says a lot about their character if they don't even have the balls to show themselves to do it.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever even had an anonymous comment.

But regarding your predicament, don't let it get to you. It's probably just 1 hater in a crowd of a bunch of fans.

The only thing you would gain from knowing the identity of someone who commented negatively on your comic is the ability to retaliate on their comic. As it is, if you report the comment the admins can still see who it is, and if it's suitably harrassment, then it will be taken down and the guilty party may be reprimanded.

I've never had that problem with my comic,most of my criticism has been constructive, but then, I haven't put myself out there as much. If someone's being mean for the sake of being mean, then you shouldn't get upset about it. ^_^;

I do find anonymous commenters to be annoying, but as long as it isn't your standard 'ZOMG! FUCK YOU!1@@' shit, I will usually overlook it.

I've had lots of negative comments that I report, but for some reason the admins ignore them like they were the children in iraq.

If its a lame comment with no thought or valid points in it I tend to ignore it... But if its smart, witty and utterly tasteless I usally blame it on Tater Salad or Marine.

(That last part was a joke by the way.)

I don't think I've gotten any bad anonymous comments. I get a lot of them in general, though, because a large number of my readers are from my school and don't have accounts. I tell them to leave their names when they comment but they hardly ever do ): And now very few of them comment anyway.

I blame all the bad things on people who blame all the bad things on people. Their blamability is directly proportionate to the blamability they rate others on.

Nope none of those comments on my comic either. I usually get very good constructive critisism also, plus complements and sometimes people just give me high numbers without commenting. That's okay. Hey, I just let people comment. It works whatever happens.

I give negative comments All the time and I never use anonymous commenting, mainly because people are more likley to give me pageveiws if they are incensed with rage by my comments.

I've had one anonymous comment..and it simply said 'faggot'.
So, I muted it cause...well, it was just..dumb.

I've gotten more negative feedback for a guest comic I did for HSVoD. One writer even went poetic. It was nice, really. =)

If you report that we will delete it, it would be considered a rude comment. DDers should not have to put up with profanity and insults in their comments if they don't want them.

I got an annoymous comment once, it was quite helpful.

Basically, even if a reported comment is otherwise completely valid, if there's a swear word in it we'll delete it as rude because some people might not want that stuff on their pages, even though it is just in the comments.
