He *does* have a great look, though since I don't think I've ever seen him in anything, I can't officially put in a vote of confidence.
If Zachary Levi were older, I think he'd be fun in the part--again for the comedic ability and convincing nervousness. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1157048/
well even though those are all great picks, my idea of the Padre would be somebody more along the lines of Simon Pegg. If you think Curtis Armstrong would be a great comedic relief, just think what Pegg would be like. The guy is absolutely brilliant, and if you haven't seen him in any films, check out any of the following (my personal favorite is Shaun of the Dead).
Simon Pegg: http://imdb.com/name/nm0670408/
Movies starring him:
Shaun of The Dead - http://imdb.com/title/tt0365748/
Hot Fuzz - http://imdb.com/title/tt0425112/
24 Hour Party People (just a little, as the journalist) - http://imdb.com/title/tt0274309/
the only movie i saw starring Thomas Hayden Church is "Over the Hedge", so all I can say about him is that he does have a very expressive voice. My vote stays on Simon Pegg
Oh man, you never watched Wings? Or that western on AMC he was in with Robert Duvall? He's pretty good. He's been in allot of movies (though the only other one I can think of right now is Sideways). But, I think either him or Simon Pegg would fit really, really well.
nope, not only have I never watched Wings, but I never even heard of it. As for the western (and I know this will make me sound like a heretic because the comic is about cowboys and all), I never was a big fan of the genre.
