For this first round, all the arenas will have some connection to music.
Our contestants are Stickman the...stickman, and 42 the mimicing alien.
Arena:
Epic Battlefield
Pull out your sepia tones and write up that amazing score because you're going to have the most epicbattle ever!
Musical Theme:
Opera and whatever style best fits those two links above
Arena Rules:
-Melee or Medieval-style range weapons only!
-You don't have to sing, but try and have something musically-related accompany your actions.
Standard Rules (new rules in bold. Please read):
- No one-shot-kills.
- Remember to respect your opponent's pages (that means no rewriting history).
- 7 days from NOW to get your intro pages in.
- Your opponent should not be any (major) part of your intro pages.
- 7 days to post each turn, timed from the posting of the previous turn.
- MAX of 2 pages per turn, apart from the first intro.
- Each contestant is able to miss one deadline. If the deadline is missed without providing a reasonable turnaround time, your character will be replaced with a "happy clone" until your next turn. Upon a second violation, you will be disqualified.
- If a character violates an arena rule or a standard rule, the fight will be interrupted until the violation is corrected by either an "Eye of Isis" or a "Lawyerbird" depending on the type of violation. Repeated offenses will result in disqualification.
Traditionally, it's two pages but if you feel you can put out more in the seven day timeframe, be my guest. Keep in mind that this would only be for the round one intro. Everything following is two pages max.
HAHAH! That's awesome!!! Oh man. Thanks for reminding me of that crazy battle landscape from those youtube videos. I'll have to incorporate them, too. Ok, I'll get to drawing then... 7 days....cool.
Thanks for the compliment, but I wouldn't worry about that sort of thing, PP. First, it's the fighting that counts. Second, I'll get really lazy with my art soon enough. Besides, I think you have me beat with hilarity. ^_^
Just to remind you guys that I'm not dead yet. It's been a super busy week for me but I finally have time for myself to work on those pages (which is good since tomorrow is the deadline date for me). I'm gonna be cutting this one a bit close but I'm currently half way through the first page. While it may be stick figure art that I'm drawing up, I'm gonna put some work into it instead of slapping it together in 5 minutes like last time.
Those were my two cents.
If you have any other questions, please deposit a quarter.

Product Placement: Well, I certainly wouldn't penalize you for lateness. We all know life has its way of preventing us from drawing our comics in a timely manner. ^_^ And you don't need to make any excuses about stick art. Any type of art can be made cheaply and lazily. It's not unique to the stick art genre, and therefore, it's just as capable of being really amazing! I would not have known you "threw together" your intro comic in 5 minutes! I think it's really cool, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what clever situation you think up next.
