Webcomic creators and other people actively involved in webcomics can nominate up to three webcomics in each of the following twelve categories. We tried to keep the number of different categories low so that only the best comics have the chance of winning an award.

Best Comic

Best Writing

Best Colour Art

Best Black and White Art

Best Non-Traditional Art

Best New Comic

Most Improved Comic

The Innovation Award

Best Gag-a-day

Best Long Form

Best Lead Character

Best Supporting Character
Once the nominations are collected the five most popular suggestions will be handed to a panel of judges whose job it is to decide which one deserves to win. But since only webcomic creators and other people involved in webcomics can nominate comics, every nomination is really important as well. So if you think that some of your personal favorites deserve an award, you should visit our site and cast your vote. (You cannot nominate your own comic.)
Awesome thanks, waay better system then some other awards that have just four judges doing it all (and four judges that had similar opinions and gender/ethnic backgrounds i might add)

Thanks. A lot of thought went into the planning of the award. If it should be moderately successful this year, we can probably get some more “famous” judges next year besides Brad Guigar who will be a judge for “Best Gag-a-day”.

Novil! I thought I recognized that avatar. I am a huge fan of Sandra and Woo. Great stuff there, that comic.
Anyway, I'll definitely check out the website and nominate a few of my favorites.
Thanks for the compliment. But don’t bother voting for it in any category. Since I’m a judge, Sandra and Woo is not eligible.
