Great characterization and wonderful moment with the bumming the cigarette. But sloppy? The German Army is never sloppy! The Gestapo is sloppy, but never the army! Paint those garbage cans and iron those creases and look like a professional as you massacre guiltless civilians!
I like how unique each of the characters is in the first panel. I also like the different expressions. I can sense tension in some of them but not in others.

I agree with usedbooks - the distinct characters go a long way, even if they remain silent and nameless.
