also running at extreme speeds... rule 6 of hyper runners.. no sudden moves, if he had made to dodge that would of had drastic effect on his aerodynamics altering his trajectory into a tree or a rock or something. You'd be surprised the amount of concentration it takes to compensate for the movements of a flailing rescue-y while approaching random objects at 100 mph
