This page features the stars of NEAR DARK. The film was released at the same time as the LOST BOYS. Both films were awsome and they both showed how to do a modern take on the vampire with out making a suck ass version of a vampire film like the twilight films. Lance Henriksen hates the blu ray cover to the film. He did not even want to sign it. He told me that they tried to make it look more like the twilight films to appeal to the twilight fans. he gave me the b&w photo to make up for the shame of the blu ray cover.also on the page is Jenette Goldstein, you might have seen her in the second alien film Aliens and in Terminator 2 as john connor's foster mom. in Near Dark she played Lance's main squeeze. Last but not least is Jenny Wright, she played the main love interst in Near Dark. She was also rob lowe's wife in saint elmo's fire as well as appearing in many other movies and tv shows. every body at the show was getting all the aliens stuff signed and that's cool but i wanted the kick ass vampire film signed.
the rules on the photo's was very strict. you could not take a photo directly with lance but you could take a picture of him at his table.it was part of the contract that the show had. some the celeb guest acted as if it was a real hassle to tell thier fans that they could not do certain photo's. i can see both sides of this, you don't want to disapoint your fans but you don't want to piss off the host of the con.
it was weird trying to get photo's at the show. they had a pro photographer there and set times to get a gallery quality photo with your fav star. it was quite expensive to do this, i'm sure it was worth it to the superfanatic's but when i go to a show i get a photo to prove i really met them and that the autograph i got is real. it just seems a bit weird to me to want want that super high quality photo, i just want proof that i met them i don't want it seem as if i am a family member.
