| usedbooks | I was going to go in order of appearance, but I had a really strong urge to draw Conrad, so he gets his turn now.
Conrad was a very fun character to design. He did end up looking Sean Connery-like, but that was an accident. Heh. I started by designing his hair and beard, then his scar and dragon-head cane. He’s one of the few generally positive and happy characters, but at the same time he's got that mysterious and powerful aura. I wanted him to be someone Kaida would feel very comfortable around, which is why he was able to very successfully distract her. I also needed to introduce him before Toyo was attacked because Toyo was Kaida’s rock. Conrad is a very useful plot device for comforting Kaida, rescuing Seiko, and encouraging Tristan. He's also a very significant character in his own right. -- But those details won’t officially come to light until later. (My sister thinks it's already pretty obvious.) -Posted on May 08, 2009 |

Oh how I love Highlander ^_^ So obviously I like a character that resembles Ramirez so much. No wonder he got in a sword fight =D
