| usedbooks | Misaki is probably the most dynamic and vibrant person in this story -- despite being long dead when it started. If I had the time, talent, and energy, I would happily write a complete prequel/spin-off with Misaki as the star. I wish I had more opportunities for Misaki flashbacks, but this isn't really *her* story, and we have the added difficulty of not having anyone around that could recount her "secret life."
For the character design, I essentially took physical and psychological aspects of Seiko, divided those between her parents, and then fleshed out the resulting half-characters. Seiko's dad became the intellectual and healer with brown hair and glasses. Misaki became a vibrant, adventure-seeker full of empathy. Misaki also got Seiko's hairstyle (well, similar) and eye color (mostly so villains would see the resemblance). I'm not sure why I made her hair black, but the end result of the couple looks eerily like my own parents in their youth. -Posted on Apr 17, 2009 |

Actually, Raidon probably didn't interact with her *directly* very much, so he's not a viable flashback vessel. A few other (minor-ish, heh) characters knew Misaki more personally and closely. -- And there are other characters I plan to introduce later on that knew her professionally (both musically and "other").

Though Seiko may actually be "cursed". Heh, another similarity we share. I have a character later that over time most people will say he has "The Devon curse"... but that makes no sense to you now at all haha XD
