The color helped panel 5 immensely. My friend Bethany couldn't tell what was going on when I showed her the original (B&W) page. Also, in panel 3, the size difference might look a touch off. Seiko really is very short, but it is also a high angle, and she's not really standing up straight. the position is more important than the proportion anyway. ;-)
Peipei: Technically, Fudo never killed anyone Seiko really cared about -- although he certainly tried.
amanda: Awe. :-( You always have fun insights. I didn't know the ads were distracting. I thought I positioned them fairly non-obtrusively, but I don't want to distract anyone, so I removed it.
trevor: She's in a rural area where no one speaks English, so she has been pretty lonely -- though not *too* much thanks to WoW and the kitten she adopted.
Aghammer: Thanks. I challenge myself to convey emotion with simplified features.
Warpedwenger: I don't have too much trouble, but it takes a lot of practice to draw those things without references.
DAJB: That's a funny bit of conditional forgiveness. Lol. More of a trade I suppose.
ghostrunner: My mom bought a car off her cousin for $300. (Their last two cars were bought new, though. They've paid off one but not the other yet.)
Oh goodness, WoW seems to keep everyone I know up in the latest social circles. Heck, I'm starting to feel out of the loop because I don't play the game.
Not that I have the time these days. I barely can get through an hour of Fallout 3 - not because it's not great and awesome and tons of fun, but because I'm always busy doing other things.
I find it slightly funny that Fudo is holding onto Seiko's pants and going through the pockets. This looks like it's going to be an unhappy situation for Fudo pretty quick.
I worry about showing character height incorrectly too. I'll sometimes draw a character that's supposed to be very tall or very short and think that they don't look it.
By the way, why didn't you give Seiko a bike? I think that would've been cool!
Hehe, the ad size/placement wasn't an issue. The subject matter wasn't really either; it was just a surprise XD I spy a dandelion! Make a wish, Seiko! Your hands are improving ^.^ I know it's an older comic, so I imagine the progess is better now, but it's notice-able here.
