For my non mystery-geek readers, you can read the Wikipedia articles on Moriarty and Moran. Better yet, read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, The Final Problem and The Adventure of the Empty House. (Oh, and Valley of Fear, which doesn't say that much about Moriarty, but it's a fantastic story, imo.)
I would also like to point out that the two plotlines running are not really in chronological order. They happen during the same time period, but not in order. (Kaida's plotline is occurring mostly at night, while Seiko and Yuki are in daytime.) Chapters are divided by interest points, not time breaks.
For anyone recently joining (or rejoining) the story, this is part 4 of a multi-part story arc. It begins in Chapter 56.

I can see Raidon as a Moriarty but Yuki as Holmes? Don't get me wrong, she can be very sharp at times but she's definitely no Sherlock. Maybe Nancy Drew.
i hated the personal colums when i was single. "loves to take long walks on beach" was the standard line, and when i would go to the beach none of these $%^$#@$# were anywhere in sight XD
