The first two panels are set in Kaida's room/apartment. The rest are downstairs in the store. Kaida's decision here was triggered by Detective Nash's appearance (on yesterday's page) when he announced his progress on the Toriumi case. Keep in mind that Kaida has always intended to make a confession, but she has held back for the sake of friendship (and freedom).
I used to lament designing characters, but I've grown to love it. This guy in the last panel is a favorite. Gael thinks he gives of a Sean Connery or Obi Wan Kenobi vibe -- which is sort of what I was going for.
ghostrunner: Lol. Seiko's keeping secrets, I'm afraid. She has a bad habit of not telling people anything.
LanceDanger: Yuki is always so amusingly infuriating. XD Poor Kaida indeed.
n_y_japlander: Shame on you! They're professionals! And Yuki doesn't hit on married men -- any other man, yes, but not Seiko's adoptive dad. ~_^
Peipei: Kaida has realized that her freedom is nearing an end. Yuki is a friend, but she is also keen on justice and likely won't put up a barrier to Tucker's investigation.
dueeast: Thanks. ^_^ That one was fun to draw.
amanda: Kaida won't deny the truth -- though she was hoping to keep it hidden for a while...
JustNoPoint: If I was Tristan I would cut my losses and leave before getting any more attached. :-P
trevor: It was a complete accident! -- I think... I do watch a lot of Lucy. Lol.
hahah it reminded me of Sean Connery from Highlander 2 "the quickening" (I've seen that one in cable tv too many times ) Awesome! :D
Ok now I get Kaida's face from previous page's last panel
(@_@) I wa-sh thinking that he look-sh a lot like sh-ean Connery, even before I read what you wrote... sh-cary thought that i-sh. (using my best Sean Connery impersonation voice... I quite good at it....)
I feel so bad for Kaida :( I know Yuki is just doing the right thing, but Kaida will suffer because of it ; ; She must be scared and worried...I know I would be :(
