Send a private quack!
Seiko's dad ended up looking a little too much like my dad. It didn't occur to me until I drew her mom later and realized she looked a lot like my mom.... Another unintentional thing, I assure you.

My parents were/are high school science teachers (they retired and teach elsewhere). "No child left behind" has them very PO-ed.

Awww, I got a bit teary with the "I'm sorry...Daddy." I taught for years and I was ALWAYS defending my style against other "educators" that treated students like cookie cutter kids. This hit a bit too close to home. I think Seiko may end up being my favorite character. (Of course, I bet I say that about every character through the course of this epic.)
