Well, in MM X5 you only see Reploids in Squid Adler's stage and according to Alia they are just random scientist or Reploid I don't remember and in MM X6 the Reploids we rescue are just random Reploids who came investigate the Nightmare problem. The only Hunter we can see are the two in the intro stage of MM X6 and the ones that are being slaughtered by Double during a cut scene in MM X4. I don't remember if the Reploids in MM X7 are Hunters or not. All of this to say that we don't see many Hunters in the games.

being possessed ,or dying and needing to be rescued. At least they gave you decent power-ups.
