The reason he's bitmixing is because he is using other people's sprites that they sent him cause they want to be in the tournament! So wtf is he supposed to do?

Uhh I am so very confused here, I thought I was signing up for a torunament but looks like I didn't make the cut...oh well. I don't know what the Hell tasc is but if they really hate crappy sprite comics I would have gotten a visit from them because I am mr.two tones. From the sound of it creating an anti-tasc group will make you as "evil and assholish" as these guys, as so nicely put. That is no instance my opinion it is the vibe I got from the opinion of you the spriters. It sounds to me the folks from Tasc may know what they are talking about when it comes to giving good advice. A little remniscant of a site called "Screw These Comics" Anyway, I am a little aggitated I didn't make it because that would have been a fun project. You lack organization, it already seems like this may have plummeted. Also you could have posted the brackets in a forum as opposed to making a page for the comic for it. I do agree that there are very generous raters out there and it is very annoying that people who flame the hell out of ya can't seem to leave you alone once they read one bad page. Anyway I will not rate your page. I could reiterate advice that has already been given but that would be redundant. As opposed to this tasc thing...I still dont know what the hell it is so I don't have an opinion on this whole subject either.

First off, I don't buy the "I'm new to DD" excuse for this. You've had to have seen at least one tournament comic on here before, if not multiple, so you had to have known the negatives.

Yet you still did it. You say you're going to change it, but do you honestly know what needs to be changed?

You're brushing off the fact that nearly everyone is telling you how tournament comics are not the way to go with a pithy sarcasm which isn't helpful to you at all.

Honestly, every person who's given you crit on here has or is doing a sprite comic, so do realize that when we say you're tumbling into a big pit of error, we do know what we're talking about.

So while you admit our crit is honest, you fuel yourself by saying we're trying to "beat you down" and such. That's a passive agressive way of saying "well you're right, but because you say it I'm not gonna listen."

None of us at tasc are out to kill sprite comics, as you probably know, but improve them.

The balls in your court now.

Right, I get it, Tournaments are baaaaaad.

Ok, I'm new to DD, so I didn't know that this was a dumb way to try to meet people. I'll work on a real comic and replace this. I just love how you guys think your beating me down with "crits". I've stated several times that I find your reveiws here to be honest. So yeah... Not sure what your trying to accomplish. I said I would change it.

Anyways, Rich, nice, you used a proxy to spam my forum. You think I'm a idiot? All I have to do is switch the settings to allow admin verification for accounts, and I just have to block guests from posting. Oh God, what a fix, it's so hard..

All accounts on the Anti-Tasc are selective. So I'll be picking out members who want to join by hand. This should prevent a stupid stunt like that from happening again.

Wow, you guys know how to spam. I bow before your interweb skillz.

Ok, first off, the tasc stuff. Get your info right before you spout crap PLEASE. Second, the comic, why people come here: if you want to get used to doing a comic do NOT do a tourney.

Sprite, unless you've got sprites MADE for fighting specifically, are REALLY hard to make into a compelling tournament. Plus, these sprites aren't really made for a fist fight.

Second: this is not really a comic. Even if the tournament was going, I'd be hesisitant to call it a comic unless there's a reason for the tournament.

Third: you've got spelling and grammar, good points for you. And you're taking crit well, a few more bonus points. But, you being a decent guy unfortunately doesn't have baring on the comic .

This is, well, I'm not gonna number rate until I see more, but this honestly isn't starting off well. I'd suggest you do a real comic honestly.

All the spriters just give each other sugarcoated 5's and no real advice.

The result of that is the lack of innovation Rich was talking.

Everythign is Sonic, Mario, and megaman-and guess what! It all looks the same.Boring.

There is no motivation to improve.Refuruse, You said you wanna be famous on DD? Take advice and start being different-because whatever your nice things spriter friends think--

I don't think so.

Actually some of my favorite comics have much lesser art than mine. The art is only one part of a comic, so therefore we also judge on the writing.

and what, do you want ignorant big echo'd spriters to flame peoples comics and say they suck when the persons comic they flame is much better? doesnt it hurt you when you see those jerks do that? dont you hate that some of them flame off on you for giving them helpful advice? and dont you just hate it that alot of them come to someones comic and flame the crap out of it with multiple hateful comments right after they flamed off on them for giving the spriter some helpful advise? What right do they have? you know how you say read the comic or dont? well thats what those spriters say alot, but then they go around flaming the crap out of good comics instead of "not reading them because they dont like the comics" so arent they breaking their own little "self rule" when they do that? Of coarse, or at least in my oppinion.

I know thats why I joined, and thats exactly why I reported squeek to tasc, I didnt just randomly go to his comic and start saying bad stuff to him. Instead he came to my comic and left a little angry hate message. So I check out his comic, and I start making advice (in a semi-friendly way)but then he yells at me on his comic then comes to mine and posts a hate comment telling me my art sytle is horrible and that 4th graders can draw better than me.

Im kindof angry now, so we talk for like a few seconds on his comic, and hes still flaming me, so i do a request for him to be on tascs list of asshole spriters, and when some of the other tasc members check out his comic they add him to it. and the "battle" went on further.

But let me ask you this, how would your little anti tasc group solve the problem, and if it actually worked, what would it accomplish, the only thing I could think of is that really bad spriters will crowd the internet even more, sure we're small now, but we hope to grow, and encourage spriters to do better... and get some of those annoying spriters that I was talking above to either change, and if they wont do that, then to get them to stop sprite.

maybe what i said in a comment below was too much, but im just one of those people who caqnt stand "fight tournament comics"

Thats how I view TASC. Please, at least think about what ive said.

Rich is correct, lately Drunk Duck has finally began to shake off the "EVERYONE GETS A 5" attitude.

I assume you've never dealt with Drunk Duck before, so let me explain. Almost EVERYONE gets rated a 5, so it usually don't mean much, especially those who just rate a 5 and say nothing.

While I admit, a lot of the people who don't like the comic may seem harsh, myself included, you'd be a fool to completely silence or ignore them. The fact you havent' muted them yet has already put you leaps and bounds ahead in progress than many other comics here.

Mate, seriously, you can't get famous on Drunk Duck doing any sort of tournament, and you're lucky if you got famous just doing it on a forum.

Plus, think of it this way. Suppose this DOES become famous. Then what? You're going to keep on doing this because it's what the people want. Not a lot of folks here like tournament comics for several reasons. They're boring, they have no humor or character development, and they rarely have a plot.

However, if you're just doing this to get the hang of making a comic, then perhaps I could be of assisstance. I have a forum where you could put your tournament thing up if you wanted for practice. My members won't like it, but at least you'd be getting some good feedback on the graphical quality of it.

So what do you say?

Yeah, seriously dude. You need to take Rich and Shadowmaster's advice here.

If you want to start a real comic, START A REAL COMIC. Obviously you know how to sprite, spell, and add effects, so you're already a cut above some others.
But there are WAY more than enough tournament comics already, and the vast majority of them don't get past the first couple of comics due to bad organisation and just general disinterest.

Consider this, y'know, a friendly warning. I look forward to reading your actual comic.

@Shadowmaster: Yes, I know most don't fnish, and I won't promise anything special for this. I can try, and with luck, this will turn out better then most comics like this. Well I'm trying to get well known before I start my real comic, so I thought this would be a fun idea. And yes, it isn't a comic. I said I would update with a comic tomorrow. Obviously, this is not one.

It's good that you know the difference, but please, your only sounding stupid by missing a point that I so obbviously made not more then a page ago. I don't mind your comment, or you one.

See, it's unwarrented attacks like this that have earned your site a bad name. Your not helping that.

Ok, this is NOT a comic. This is a bracket! And the recolors are mostly pretty ugly.

I don't know what this obsession is with tournaments, but couldn't you at least TRY to break the mold or something?

Like ya know, add a story? Keep all the characters in one bittage? Make pages like this at least look interesting?

Hell, couldn't you have AT LEAST made it look like it was on a piece of paper or a wooden board or a computer screen?

What is it with the lack of originality and innovation these days?
