Description

Some of the greatest stories never told are the real life experiences of Soldiers. The real life conflicts of heroes and villains being played out within our lifetime can now be cataloged within the pages of The Warrior Chronicles. The comic book illustration media is a great way to represent the stories of these fighting men and women. The outstanding talent of Platinum artists in conjunction with writers and editors combine to a make an anthology of this centurys gladiator, The American Soldier. Join us as we place you into the missions of these courageous men and women as they combat terrorism and share their experiences with you and take a look into the world of a Soldier before, during and after a deployment. Witness through these illustrations the hardships of the Soldiers families while their loved ones are fighting for democracy and freedom. Share in the determination of some of these wounded warriors as they fight to regain their basic needs in life and triumph against everyday adversities. The Warrior Chronicles will be an interview style sequential artwork that depicts the story of the Soldier. The graphical representation of the work by the artist gives the reader a deep look and feel of the event and a closer understanding of what this Soldier has experienced. The intent would be to publish a book once per year and include the best of stories, poems and different types of prose to an undetermined length but not to exceed 100 pages. Variations of lengths will be determined by the detail of the story and scale of the artwork needed to portray the idea successfully. Base line structuring of the book would begin at ten stories, ten pages long. The Warrior Chronicles will serve as a testament to values such as loyalty, duty, honor, selfless service and personal courage, demonstrated everyday by our greatest heroes. To do what we can when we can is the basis for the mission of The Warrior Chronicles, to recognize the achievements of these men and women and give them as much of our commitment as they gave us. This anthology will be the first of its kind and will set the precedent for future projects to give the Soldier the credit that is due from a grateful nation. The public has a voracious appetite for the sensational, the graphic and the shocking. We all have a difficult time taking our eyes off the train wreck in progress - it is human nature... [B]ut when it comes to their men and women in uniform, they also have a very strong desire to hear their personal stories. They want to know what it is like, what the Soldiers are experiencing, and how the Soldiers feel about their mission. That is why we must encourage our Soldiers to interact with the media. When our Soldiers tell/share their stories, it has an overwhelmingly positive effect. - Lt. Gen William B. Caldwell IV We can help our Soldiers heal by giving them a medium to look back and remember, a place to share a strong emotion in art and words. They can let go of their pain in prose and we can give their words life in this comic book style anthology. There are hundreds of thousands of Soldiers, Marines, Airman and Sailors with a story all we have to do is listen and they will talk. Stay in the Fight! Victor L. Castro Jr.
