Oh crap! Sophia's not only suffering from that axe to the head injury, but now she got the ultimate back crack from Kidjo (the man with beady eyes)! By the looks of the damage, I'd say some broken ribs under that now blood-stained shirt....
And what's this talk about Portis and why was he stockpiling weapons...? "Another revolution," they say? There's something going on in the background here beyond the bombing of the cathedral.
An update about my life in Chicago, things are going well here. Waffles (the cat) is making adjustments nicely. She's gotten much much better now that boxes are disappearing and stuff is getting back to normal. I still have to finish unpacking the living room (DVDs and books, mostly) and the bedroom (mostly clothes there). Work's been keeping me rather busy, as I've had to take projects home over the weekend a few times now. That's not how I like to work, though, so I'm going to be putting a quick stop to it by managing deadlines.
I've posted a few blogs about the process that I went through to get to Chicago (no pictures yet, though), so be sure to check it out on my main website.
Scorpious: Thanks man, glad you dig it. Yeah, failing this organization is not the way that I'd like to leave. Religion here, it seems, is like organized crime.
JustNoPoint: I'd hardly call these benefits. More like a bad retirement plan. Poor 401K. And awful healthcare coverage. ;)
Warpedwenger: I agree. I like sparse use of color. I think that overusing color just tends to make things look too bright. I'm a fan of a gray scale world.
patoborracho: I was trying to go for a "blood spattered on the camera lens" look, so hopefully I pulled that off here.
Darwin: Sophia never gets a break. Talk about a bad day or two. Hell, the last 10 minutes have been pretty bad enough for her.
Peipei: That they are, and I wonder why that may be. I like to think that blind followers are often the craziest and most dangerous.
Doctor Shadow: Sweet deal, glad you dig it. I like my violence fast and brutal.
harryq: Thanks for reading!
armandoB: It's certainly not how I like to spend my day, that's for sure. I mean, getting shot in the head is the worst.
amanda: Waffles is doing much better now, thanks. I can imagine that the two cats would be freaked out. They'll get used to it in time. Waffles gets better as I unpack boxes. And thanks for the heads up on the artwork - I would appreciate it. Possibly with some artwork in kind.
mattchee: Just the way I like it, sir!
khard12: Thanks for reading!
patrickdevine: I think she lost the previous fight, and then this fight didn't really happen because of it....she's kind of 0:2 at this point.
Jabali: It's less Sophia's back and more her ribs that I'd be worried about. Notice her holding her side in panel 3. She may have some broken ribs in there, possibly causing some internal bleeding. I'm no doctor, but I'd recommend that she go see one and soon!
ghostrunner: I agree. Let's put him in the main hall among the rest of past faithful servants and allow him to collect dust while we use him as a cheese tray at parties. I like your thinking, sir!
Ouch, poor Sophia. That beady eyed man is a bastard. Glad Waffles is settling in - Jess and I are dealing with two freaked out cats right now in our new place. I loved that last panel. Also I have an art piece in the works for you, but the move kinda took precedence. I'll get it to you sometime this week.
